just got back from miami, and i had an amazing time. the radio 1 thing was rammed on friday, so I head over to bedrock.

Nice small intimate venue, John was there, working on the door (!) milling around and chatting with the punters (see my new avatar...). The music was incredible all night, Desyn did a good job, and Weird Continental types rocked it aswell, but Luke Fair was awesome, best music of the conference for me came from that man - he's going places IMO. LOOKING FORWARD TO OS 3!!! Shame JVM couldnt make it though. Met some cool people, especially Shaun KVK (reality theory, etc) and his mates - cheers for the cd man, the new tunes are amazing.

Saturday was bizzare to say the least, the ultra afterparty thing was insane. Lots of glowsticks, whistles and white gloves, it was like being transported back in time. Musically it wasnt bad (sasha/john: awesome,/JZ/Hernan: b2b funkiness, unkle aka lavelle: whack - why was he there? He ruined the place, people stood there booing) but the organisation was terrible. Having a party in a basketball arena isnt the best idea in the first place, but forcing 9000 people to queue for about 30 mins to re-enter the arena if you needed a p!ss was ridiculous, especially when the fire wardens said no-one else could go back in. I thought there was going to be a riot.... Thank god for Danny at Space eh?

i'd have to agree with you remoh.. the spring breakers were OUT OF CONTROL this year. it was not like that in past years... the cheese dick meatheads were in full effect... anyone else notice that? i just tried my hardest to ignore them.. hehe ;)

Dope as hell. Deep Dish was sick as uaual. Morillo killed Miami like no other and everything was priced out of this world...... But I had too much fun. Ultra was sick as well...

just got back last night:

highlights: diggers @ pawn shop (system kinda sucked but set was on point) good seeing code11 again and nice meeting ruby ranks. luke fair @ rumi. mathew dekay @ spin (one of the best sets of the conference imo). niki beach was a fun party atmosphere but they were changing djs every 2 minutes. s & d at aa arena: lavelle needs to be shot, how can they let him get away with that? some guy through a water bottle at him, kinda funny. i had to bribe the security to let me back down on the floor. i tried bribing the fire marshall with a dollar but he didn't see the humor in it.

great time good seeing everyone again.

A couple of my roommates in Miami told me that Hernan had finished the night and it was awesome. I could see them not knowing what the hell was going on. Pretty funny. I'll have to tell them to get their DJs straight.

if they are talking about the show that Digweed hosted at Yuca, Hernan wasnt there. whats funny is. when the show was over, Digweed was up behind the decks talking to Luke and this girl walked by with her boyfriend saying, is that Digweed, is that Digweed, and her bf goes, yeah, he's been playing all night.

hernan was there, behind the decks but off to the side. he did not play, probably just stopped by to hear the best music of the conference, IMO

the Movim party was at a kickass venue, but I didn't catch much of it. Showed up in time to catch a bit of Tripwire, and from what I heard it was great... don't recommend anybody catch Sleepyface & DJ Boo though. They cleared the dancefloor immediately, and for good reason.

wmc was great, got plenty of video that i'll put up on my site this weekend, gots some clips of subliminal @ spance, jz @ nikki beach, carl cox @ crobar...overall had more fun this year than last year....

Actually Hernan was there....as a guest for a brief moment of time....I know because I just was leaving the booth and Hernan walked in....He never played at all just was there to hang out....
