Re: Is America killing dance music?

"Dj DeepHi Legends were my parties in the late 90's, and this party (03.02.2013) was a sort of a reunion party of something we did around 1995 with Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussel and Jerome Sydnham (who at the time had just released See line Woman and Escravos de Joe and brought this records as promos to the party back then.) We took the Rex 25th anniversary oportunity to put together this event. I have been djing for a little while now and I don't think I play or promote commercial music, neither does the Rex club in general or any of the guests. Kerri had a nice time partying that night as you can hear, the club was full and we closed after 7 AM All artists had a total freedom as always to play what they wanted, and the crowd really came to hear those djs that they absolutely love. Maybe one person did upset Kerri, I don't know he did not mention it to me. I just think he was having a blast, and enjoying the fact he could go wherever he wanted to go musically and that is what he meant, I have been Kerri's friend for over 15 years this is why I take the liberty here to give my interpretation of his words. I think it's a little useless to create an unecessary polemic here. Thanks for reading this. Dj Deep"
