Music is primarily entertainment, if you feel like you can be critical of those entertaining 10's of thousands because you, or those you deem as "underground" can lay down some clean mediocre mixes on a sick pair of 1200's you are f'd. If any of you think guys like Sneak wouldn't trade places in a second with guys making real money like Guetta or SHM you are delusional. Chunky you keep taking my nick into your mouth repeatedly even though i backed off from this useless thread. But let me tell you this: it never was about "haircuts, jackets, and looking like a miserable cunt behind the decks".

It's about not going with the herd, refusing doing things which might be more beneficial economically based on actual trends. Hell, most of my fav djs dance behind the booth! And the haircut thing is simply stupid. You really think top edm people couldn't replicate the SHM success if they wanted to?

As i said, there will always be advocates of popular vote, as there will always be people thinking democracy is the best system available.

And regarding the 'personal taste': It's like with the cars. I would never say my taste in cars is comparable to someone who drove 10 times as many cars as i did. I would never say my taste in literature is comparable to someone who's been actively reading books since ever and has 10 times as many books as i do. In fact, i would say my taste in both cases is absolutely inferior. The only difference with music is that it's 'free and easy to listen' and people tend to be lazy to do their own research and consume everything that is available to them in the simplest way (radio, tv). It's ok, it doesn't make them worse persons, they are just not interested enough to do more and are satisfied with simple trends.

And please: stop being a FUCKING MORON talking about the djs i know as 'backstabbing bastards'. I don't attack you personally.
