Don't cds get released in the UK first.(thinking of Global underground)? If so that means it would be out before hand.
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
normally cds that get released on british labels such as GU, etc. (pretty much anything good) comes out in the uk 2 weeks/a month or so before its us release.
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
yeah GU are usually a couple of weeks before in the UK, fingers crossed :P
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha

Youngsters - Smile, what a tune!
that song felt like i was hearing my own inner voice (thought process voice?) w/ backup instrumentals to match (if i had like an accompanist in there too)
i love that fucking song
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
correct if I am wrong, but wasnt Involver a GU cd?
and when that came out he had already said there was going to be a second Involver comp.
He also missed one of his recent dates because of production of a new cd.
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
Amazon UK has it listed as a May31st release also, prehaps this time around it will a world wide release for everyone.

Saw him at Ruby Skye the other week and what he was playing was verging on trance. Fundamentally he is a trance DJ anyway....
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
Hey, someone's gotta steal Tiesto's thunder
:Crucify:
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha

Thought you might have known better, having listened to your own mixes an all, but seems you really have no idea whatsoever
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
wtf??? trance, what are you talking about, i heard his set in new years eve, it was everything but trance, it was kind of tecky most of the time, but never ever trance, was it you the one who won the mercury promote?

Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
it is ridiculous in my opinion to pigeon hole Sasha, Digweed, JZ, Luke Fair, etc... into 1 genre.
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
JZ ... he doesn't use vinyl. he just uses the auto-scratch music button.
i have to admit porgressive and scratching make me want to ... :Hurl:
it just does not fit. call me old, but leave the scratching to Hip_Hop & Drum & Bass. eck.

Wish i voted otherwise now, if what Sneddon says is correct it would seem i voted for a trance set to win and i fucking hate trance.
Well at least Sasha won't be called a garage DJ anymore
Kids

i think he's trying to suggest that your mix was a trance mix...
for the record i dont think sasha is a trance dj... the closest i think personally i've heard him play to trance (not live, but recorded sets) was the essential selection mix he did last year... not quite trance, but definately epic imo, which is a bit cheesy. sasha is an innovator, one of the best things to happen to edm.... he isn't a trance dj, and if he wants to cheese it up every once in a while, so be it

What I was trying to say is that fundamentally Sasha is a trance DJ meaning most of his roots are, and always will be, in trance. Theres usually elements of this when he plays nowadays anyway. And I don't know where my mix has got trance on it?

Sorry mate but i never heard such rubbish in me life, Sasha's roots in trance???? Sasha's roots were moulded in a time before the term "trance" was even thought of in these terms. Sasha can't be pigeonholed, when Sasha was playing what you now call trance, it wasn't even known as trance, he is an inovator, what Sasha is playing now is the blueprint for what DJ's will play in the future, blah, im going to bed, heard enough
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
when Sasha was playing what you now call trance
How do you know what I call trance music? Im talking about the harmonics and melodies of trance music are what shapes a lot of what Sasha plays today. Were you at Ruby Skye a few weeks ago? If you weren't or you haven't heard the set then how can you comment?
Re: New Mix CD By Sasha
I think you are confusing dynamics, breakdowns and an ear for an amazing melody with the term "trance" ... while Sasha (and Digweed)included music from the likes of Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk several years ago, and got labelled with that tag - things have moved on significantly.
I'd hardly class Sasha as playing that sort of music - unless he has artistically sold his soul (highly unlikely). In fact "trance" has turned into the type of pounding repetitive predictive cheesy shite that the likes of Tiesto now play - I saw Sasha 6-times last year ... he'd have had to have made a major about-turn musically to have changed genres.
