He did the same thing twice in Budapest. Last time in 2006 there was a huge party called Renaissance Winterfest, and he didn't show up because he forgot to wake up and missed the plane from Dubai. There were like 5-6000 people at the event. However a few months later he allegedly played for free, and said sorry to the public.

We got there paid our money had a few drinks at the bar before we found out Dave wasn't playing. The had no set times up nothing to say he wasn't playing, it was only because I asked we found out. If we had know before we had a few drinks I would have jumped in the car and gone to see [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=4"]Nick Warren[/url] at Turnmills in London.

I can only remember one [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=264"]Danny Howells[/url] no show. He was booked to play Elements in London but he was also playing Renaissance in London the same night. Only someone fucked up and Renaissance had an exclusive booking for that night and understanably didn't want Howells playing a similar venue 3 miles down the road. So couldn't play the Elements gig. It was a genuine mistake and Howells agreed to play Elements the following month with an extended set. These things happen and Howells conduct is a lot better than many other DJ's I can mention.

Even the most reliable of all DJs, [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=2"]John Digweed[/url], missed a series of shows earlier this year because of a bout of the flu. I remember him apologizing profusely at the beginning of that one Transitions episode for missing gigs at Snow Bombing 2011, Austria, and Belgium @ La Rocca.

On the bright side, at least you still had your group of friends there. When you go out, it's really about having a good time with your friends. Sure, it's a huge bonus with Danny there, but without him there, you're still partying with your friends.
