^^ Grado !!:D
I bought a pair of Grado earphones because I read in an older post that you recommended them, so I checked info in the web and ordered a pair. I have to say that I really love them and can´t stop using them (I also have Sony monitor earphones, Sennheiser, Shure in-ear and AKG, bur Grado´s are the best). The more economic models are not so pretty and they seem weak in their construction, but they sound really great. The better models are quite expensive btw, but really beautiful. I´ll upgrade them soon! I bought the lowest model SR-60, and sound awesome.

could always do what i did.. mod them :)

my pair of Grado Alessandro MS1i's with rosewood cups, coffee leather headband, Grado 'L' cusions. i actually loved and preferred this sound so much, i sold my 500e's that i had previous to these.

Re: new headphones

The rose wood looks beautiful. I would've picked a cream leather band to complement it.

to me yes. i listened to the MS1i's for a bit before I sent them off to be replaced. getting them back was like a different world. switching the cups from plastic to wood is the best thing you can do for the low $ Grado's (apart from replacing the entire driver in which case, just buy a model up).

modding is not that expensive to be honest. the Alessandro MS1i's were $110, rosewood drivers were about another $110 shipped from Indonesia.
