I do not care for that term, Game Changer. To me it makes things sound WAY more important than they really are. That and I'm supposed to be playing some sort of game.

Game Changer meaning, something new that has (or seems to have) changed the level at which the current competition will have to compete in order to maintain relevancy, etc... the bar has now been raised to a new level, is another way of saying "game changer."

Re: The Apple Tablet
I'm hardcore Apple and have been designing on and using their computers for 10yrs now, but this Ipad doesn't excite me in the slightest. To me, the iphone was more revolutionary that the ipad. I personally think they should have come out with the ipad first and then the iphone. See, going from small to big with no significant change in the software doesn't make sense to me; however making the ipad into the size of the iphone would have been really cool, especially adding a phone to it.
I think the ipad with a better, more functional os, faster processor, and more ram would actually be something I'd think about buying just for the coolness factor. I'm not saying I'd want to run cs4 on it, but how cool would it be if it were capable of handling those types of programs. Playing itunes, and then hopping on the web and doing a search for a pict, downloading that pic and opening it in photoshop for alteration. Then posting it on [ms] for ya'll to laugh at. They need to build osx for this thing, pronto!

Re: The Apple Tablet
Now I know how most of you want to rush out and buy the ipad ;)
"Apple says it will start taking pre-orders for both models on March 12. The iPad costs $499 and above. It is 0.5 inches thick and weighs just 1.5 pounds and has a theoretical battery life of up to 10 hours. The Wi-Fi + 3G models start at $629. You can reserve a Wi-Fi model and pick it pick up on Saturday, April 3, at an Apple retail store, Apple says. All models of iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK in late April."
Re: The Apple Tablet

Re: The Apple Tablet
Apple sold 1 million iPads in 28 days. Way faster than the iPhone. So yes, it's a game changer, already.

Re: The Apple Tablet
:no way:
Re: The Apple Tablet
Myself, I really can't imagine any use for the iPad except to read comics and magazines. Or play games which I'm not into.
Re: The Apple Tablet
I can definitely see myself using one as a replacement for a netbook.
Re: The Apple Tablet
^see thats what I would think, but do you want to listen to Pandora at the same time you are surfing the web? Can't do it on the ipad. Also I heard that Safari doesnt even have dammed tabbed browsing on this thing.
FAIL.
Re: The Apple Tablet
^ya, ya... but if someone gave you one as a gift, you'd be posting how great it is on here.
Re: The Apple Tablet
my friend has one, ive actually messed with it a bit, and it is pretty slick etc and very cool. streaming netflix via the wireless connection or slingbox is pretty cool. but i know i'd get annoyed with it since i am a super computer douche and would want something more powerful. but the form factor is unbeatable.

Pandora only works for the US ... so no use to me ... :p
THE only reason the ipad would work for me is because the damn interface is sooooo smooth. I have an HTC hero which I love YET it does not compare with the iphone... apple has just hit the nail on the head when it comes to perfecting the gui, its just like butter!
