^I had rainbow six on playstation and the experience by playing an FPS with joysticks is frustrating. Dunno if there's a technical explanation on why the mouse should be more precise, I think with a mouse you can "decide" much more precisely the path, velocity and acceleration of the aimpoint, it's a much more large field of movement. Besides, we have all incorporated the movement of a mouse towards the screen, not just in games, but since we're running an OS with Keyboard and Mice, it's just an everyday thing.

Do you have Stimulus Pack options at the bottom of your game types? If not, you must've had an install issue.

I got debited the money out of my PS3 account and then it auto-added more money into my account right after.

When I am playing the game it shows the Stimulus Pack options with a green asertisk after each name. I started a private game with myself and was able to play with the new maps but obviously that sucks lol. I dont usually join parties just click Deathmatch and play and the last few days I played no games were in new maps. Do you think maybe it was just because not many people had them? I dont know :(

Did you also download the COD update? After I installed the map pack it also told me I had to install a COD patch.

Are you sure it's a green asterisk? I'm pretty sure my asterisk is yellow

Yeah I had a green asterisk but when I turned the PS3 on the other night they were yellow and I keep getting the new maps now. Maybe it was a delay of sorts? Weird.

I just went 54 and 8. All but one person on the other team backed out, 5 new people joined, and I nuked them all while they had 0 kills and 0 deaths :lol:

That sucks! Something weird happened to me last night. I died and re-spawned where a guy threw his care package and as soon as I re-spawned it landed on me. I went from 18 and 0 to 18 and 2 real fast! Damn!

Do they increase the points on holiday weekends or something? when the new maps came out I was getting 200 a kill instead of 100, then it went back to 100. Over Memorial Day weekend I played and again it was 200 a kill but last night it was back to 100? Weird!

If your in the 6th prestige you get 200 a kill (on XBox). If your in the 5th prestige it's only 100. I'm not sure if it's the same on PS3?

I went 39 and 6 last night. This one guy pissed me off so I took it out on his team :lol: Basically what happened was we were on Salvage and the game starts and I spawn back at the building (not the house) by the garbage can and I stopped for a second and changed my class (selected the wrong class at the start) and went in through the building on my left. As soon as I come to the outside before even getting one foot outside I get knifed by a rusher. Pissed me off and needless to say they paid dearly for it. After that it was kill after kill and care package after care package and harrier and helicopter strikes mixed in with a few stealth bombers and the game was over pretty quickly at that point. They were pissed! When it was over they were all cussing at me for totally wreaking havoc on their ass while my teammates were cheering! :lol:

That was a great game 8)

Nice one! You should start running with a nuke if you're doing that good. I went 43 and 1 the other night. I died when I nuked myself :lol:

I actually called in two nukes in an hour that day... that's the first time I've done two nukes in one day!

One of my buddies was playing a few days ago and went 163 and 14. He consistently gets over 100, but the funny part is there was a dude on the other team that went something like 17 and 145 :lol:

I didn't want to nuke them though I wanted to make them pay and pay they did :lol: I hate rushers! Sniping I can deal with but rushing I can't and it ticks me off to no end when jackasses do that. I usually end up finding them and killing them repeatedly which ruins my game. But I hope they get the message were they end with 5 and 14 or some number. If they don't get the message I hope they get frustrated.

so i haven't even played mw2 yet, i just finished act one of MW. holy shit. am i watching a tom clancy movie or am i playing a game? this is freaking badass. glad i have a pc that can finally handle it, the graphics and gameplay on this is just amazing.

I just played that last night after I posted :D That level is freaking awesome, the atmosphere of running around the city is fantastic. That level has been the best sofar, good call. :D

Wait I did All Ghillied Up and One Shot, One Kill...I hope there is more sniper stuff, sneaking around and being quiet has been the coolest stuff to do sofar.

Sorry, All Ghillied Up is the one I was thinking of. I'd love to play that campaign again, but I'm too addicted to the multiplayer.

You should buy a PS3 and get the new COD when it comes out in Nov so we can play online :D

I think ganja mentioned it earlier, but PC keyboard + mouse controls > joystick. I can't ever play with those controllers worth a shit. Maybe because I've been playing FPS games on the PC since Doom + Quake came out and have flushed months of my life away from it, but I dont think you can get better than looking with your mouse and strafing with the keyboard.

I dont really like consoles all that much, I only bought a Wii because of the controls and havent plugged it in forever. I do want to play Red Dead Redemption though.

I cant wait for the new one...I will be on maternity leave after thanksgiving so I can have the baby rocking to sleep in the middle of the night while I play war games quietly lol.

Prob committing blasphemy here, but I have been playing Killzone 2 the past month (had it for months without opening it).

Fired up the online play the other night and I love it - way prefer it to COD2. For starters, you don't just get taken out straight away by some uber-geek - you actually get a chance to shoot some people up (one shot doesnt kill you). Plus you can play with people who are at your level, so you know there will be no amazing shooters on there.

Maps are decent, graphics are amazing. I'll be hooked on this for weeks....

i still love playing MW2, when time permits. i even played the campaign with my nephew not too long ago, which reminded me of how rich, and thorough this game really is.

I'm looking forward to Black Ops. It looks awesome but I do agree it's going to have to be huge in order to beat MW2 multiplayer. I hope it will though because I am looking forward to it and I don't want to be let down.

I got 2 nukes in a row last week. The first game I went like 65 to 4, the second was about 50 to 4. people were pissed :lol:

Yeah. If you get a 25 kill streak (and have that streak turned on), you can drop a nuke. It kills everyone on both teams and immediately ends the game. Your team wins, regardless of what the score was up until that point. It's not the nuke that really gets to people... it's the fact that you're 44 and 0 but they can't find you or aren't quick enough to kill you :) Especially when you do it to them again in the very next game :lol:

On the first one, my first death happened as I had my 45th kill in last stand. I had the nuke before I even died my first time :lol:
