ya it def looks all faggoteer lame and pixie. eh i guess its just their thing, blizz has always infused a lot of comical shit in thier games. evidently they have 5 yrs, so the content is sure to change. they absorb a ton of feedback too, while in the production process.

Diablo 1 was a classic game, scared the shit out of me when I played it in the dark and I never could get past the Butcher until I got a bit older and I went through the game again. Very dark and disturbing atmosphere, I loved it!

The second one was really really cool to play online with friends, I loved that one as well.

The third one looks amazing, I can't wait!

i srsly cannot wait for d3 to drop. i lost my d2 + expansion discs, so i ended up re-installing the first diablo on my laptop last week... my what a thrill it is. re-playing d1 has been a fun trip down memory lane alright. the first diablo is just so much darker, yes, and even harder to beat, which is better.

hopefully they don't make d3 look too much like world of warcrack... that would be a buster. then again their new graphics engine is a beast.

I'd honestly be surprised if SC2 comes out Q2 2010. Blizzard has been threatening a beta for SC2 for almost 6 months now. Open sign up for SC2 beta started on May 6, 2009. It's October 20th and they are still saying they are working on Battle.net 2.0 which they say is integral to SC2. The way Blizzard works I give it minimum 3 months in betaphase before they say the game is polished. Best case scenario you are looking at Nov. beta launch putting you with a Feb. beta end, another 3 months to produce enough selling units puts you in May 2010 and then 2 months of waiting so they don't have to pad Q2 figures.

I'm probably saying that cause I've been following Starcraft 2 development since I found out about it, and frankly it's been entirely too long for the game to come out. It was announced in early 2007.

As for Diablo 3, I'm too lazy to look back but whoever gave it 5 years, I'm with them. Blizzard is letting it all ride on World of Warcraft right now and don't want people canceling their WoW accounts in favor of free Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. When Blizzard states they are "done with World of Warcraft" then you'll see production on games not take 5 years.

Best case scenario for D3 in my opinion is 2012. SC2 may still be able to pull a Q2 2010 release, but like I said, I'd be very surprised.

imho, wow has been the 'burning house' that's really balanced out, and handicapped blizzard's overall output -- while 'leaking' talent and specialists over the years. from what i understand, quite few from bnorth and bnet abstracted themselves pretty quickly from blizzard's new focus in the mmorpg money gold mine. i -- being an old wc2, 3, sc and d2 clan/latter player -- played wow in beta and only up until late 2005 before calling it quits. it was fun though; i played on their most richter server, blackrock, with all those lod eq fags. point being that i was more of a strategy-competion player, in contradistinction to rpg playing style. am confident that the still prevalent strat gamer-base -- that started blizzard's golden age -- can keep blizzard's other projects strong.

sc2 is gonna be so bad ass. bnet's free and competitive attributes will verily appeal to a good number of weary wow players -- who are nostalgic to say the least, and in need of a cutting edge blizzard rts game, or action rpg game. hopefully d2 comes through in the clutch in that department. i also hope that they can give it enough appeal, and keep diversifing d2 content from wow content. i think the diablo story can do that. anyways, i'm pretty stoked for the comming years. peace out man.

I played WoW from like 3 or 4 months after launch until about 3 months ago. My advice. Stay away. If you liked how Warcraft played before Burning Crusade came out, you'll hate Wrath of the Lich King. Just my 2 cents. I canceled my account.

The Blizzard guys in charge of WoW now are catering to the player that wants to see all end game content and put 3 hours a week into the game. Rather than the players that demand high performance and put in 3 hours a night. Yes I know, that sounds like ppl need a life, but it's a pastime for a lot of people.

so i quit so long ago even before the lich king came out, and i havent even seen half of the content of the burning crusade. instance wise i mean. i am super behind. the only real reason i am coming back is to just play casually again and to just run around and look at all of the zones and try and get into some isntances because they are just cool.

the problem is that i havent seen half of tgc, and the wotlk expansion is out now, and the damn cataclysm one is coming soon, im never going to catch up.

i am one of those people that they are catering to for sure. i quit before because it just took too much damn work to get to a lot of stuff and i wasnt going to spend my whole life in front of the computer for a game. it is nice to be back now and i see you can get a freaking mount at 20 for only a few gold, that is kick ass.

honestly if they make it easier to do the fun stuff makes me happy because i am not going to stay in on a fri or sat night if i have a party to goto to raid, not gonna happen. i think they know the majority of their players are kind of like this which is why they are doing what they're doing.

honestly, i think diablo 3 will be a perfect fit for us casual, recreational and pvp players.

my bro plays wow way to much, and he raids daily; he says the end-game material is nuts, and obviously, it's a big part of the game now, yeah. i never played ever quest, but i agree that that's the 'card' the wow guys are 'tinkering' with at the moment. glad they are adding the goblins as a playable race now. i wanna see them add the pandaren race in the future. pandaren brewmaster ftw. just some thoughts.

I tried playing casual, but in the end got screwed cause I was "too casual". I'd be on for the occasional raid but eventually some asshole wants to up the raids or w/e in a guild. Then you get stuck doing pick ups, which is like smashing your cock in a vice. I stopped playing shortly after the 1st content patch in Wrath of the Lich King. I'm not saying you'll hate it or don't play it, just I dunno, don't have high hopes.

As for Illustrious, I'm really looking forward to both Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. The problem is (like I said before) Blizzard makes games waaaaay too slow. I understand the want and need for perfectionism, but having a perfect game for a beta test isn't what beta is for, currently the SC2 problem.

I was looking on Wikipedia (not the most reliable source, but close). When Starcraft 2 was announced the Burj Dubai was at 1483 ft (452m), it is now at max height 2684ft (818m) and scheduled to open in Jan 2010. Now yes ground was broken in 2004 on the building but lets be honest. To go 1200 vertical feet AND completely finish the interior of a building for office/residence in less time than it takes to make a computer game is ridiculous.

Here's waiting to 2012 for D3, and Summer 2010 for SC2. :(

hah...very good points! i agree with the wow comments too. i know i am just going to end up disssapointing myself because i am going to be wasting some time/money again on a game that i am not going to get to see the most inteesting things, but i guess i am just going to be a sucker again for now.

i have been going out drinking and partying and spending WAY too much money on the bar shit for the last couple of years with friends who are becoming a big drama pain in the ass that i am getting back to being a bit more subdued and just staying in during the week, and also more on the weekends now days. i was bored the other week when i was oncall and decided to reactivate my account and see how things look now days. i havent even logged back onto my old level 60 main much since i rejoined, i just just created a couple new classes and have been messing around with those and having fun. i think this time around i am just doing my own thing and playing for a couple of hours here and there and not caring wtf happens.

i am just using this as something else to do during the winter instead of piss my life and money away for another year out partying and not having anything worthwhile come of that.

it is funny because there is a guy who i work with who sits right nex to me, and all he fucking talks about 24/7 is wow and dicks off at work and has elitistjerks and the wow forums up at all times during the workday. leaves early/calls in sick and pretty much doesnt pay attention to his kids while he and his wife be lame all weekend and it is pretty comical. i would place real money on it that he is online raiding more hours per week than he is actually working.

since i see this all the time firsthand i am happy to know that my attention span is so short to not give that much of a shit about a game :D

Blizz has a promotion right now, goto the WoW homepage, if you commit to a year account in WoW you will get Diablo 3 thrown in when it comes out, plus a free mount and guaranteed entry into the next WoW expansion beta. Pretty sweet deal.
