Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
knew that one..... my fav (which I use every other day to clear cache/memory/unused open programs) is rebooting the phone without pulling out the battery... sort of like a Ctrl + alt + del (to reboot)
Alt + Num + Del
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
I just tried it, nothing happens...I get an arrow on the top right of the screen, but nothing else....Do I have to hold those down for a certain amount of time...I held it for like 10 seconds, nothing happened...I have a curve 8310
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
hmmm I have an 8700g, just tried it and it rebooted. should be the same since they're both running BB OS Version 4.X (I imagine)
How I do it is hit "Alt" keep it depressed, then hit "Num" (next to the 0 key") keep it depressed and then hit the "Del" key. As soon as I hit the Del key and 3 keys are depressed at this point, my screen goes off.
Try that and tell me if it works.
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
yea it is the same..... check the first post from this link (item 6)

Press the SPACE key twice to insert a period and capitalize the next letter.
Press and hold a letter key and roll the trackwheel to scroll through international characters, equation symbols and other marks.
8. Press the SPACE key twice to insert a period and capitalize the next letter.
I think this one may be standard on most phones as I was able to do this with my Treo 650, which ran Palm OS, and now with my Moto Q9h which is running WinMobile 6.0.

Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
what is better an Iphone or a blackberry?
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
depends on your use, if you dont intend to type a lot, the iPhone would be the better choice. but for me, I tend to type a lot and so need the keys. I was at the apple store and played with the iphone testing the ease of typing on a virtual keyboard and it sucked balls. couldnt type a simple sentence without making a mistake in nearly every word.
performance-wise the blackberry bold will be the fastest phone in the market when it is released.
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.

Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
Anyone have any more info. on the Storm? I will finally be leaving AT&T for my work phone and will be switching over to Verizon Wireless. I'm fucking sick and tired of crappy Good Messaging services.

Will that update work for the BB Curve 8310??
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
Will that update work for the BB Curve 8310??
i have an 8830 so my os is 4.5.0.77. for your 8310 i think you'll find at least 4.5.0.77, maybe even the 4.5.0.81which is out somewhere.
i got my info from here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/
i had to install/uninstall twice before i got it to work so if you do it, back up before and then also with the install.
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
^^Thanks. Gonna try to upgrade now :)
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
That link, while somewhat helpful, was not very helpful...It's just a bunch of people claiming to have the new upgrade, and people who want the new upgrade...
I've searched around and all of the thread about this upgrade are like that....It's bigger than La Dune!!
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
try this first: go to blackberry.com/upgrades from internet explorer and plug in your bb and it will search for the 4.5 update for you automatically. it may or may not be available for you, its not for my 8830 with sprint.
if it doesnt have it, post here or pm me and ill send you the link for your bb
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
^Cool, I'll give that a shot when I get home from work. Thanks dude.
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
Penis!
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
I just upgraded yesterday, must say the new OS does seem faster than the older one (I have an 8700g on T-Mo) and the interface has got an upgrade too. Esp the email.
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
^^Is it still beta, or has it been released to the public yet?
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
I got the Australian Vodaphone release. Seems ok so far.
Re: Blackberry Users Thread.
Hmm.. I'm tempted to try it, but I think it would be safer to just wait for the release. Have you had any issues with it, and is it that much better?

i've had the 4.5.077 beta for a while now and i havent had any problems with it. seems to be a bit faster and manage the ram better, also love the youtube, docs to go, and html emails.
