Re: 3G iPhone
that will come in time.
i am sure you already heard about the app "NetShare"
allows you to use your iphone's 3G via a laptop.
by far one of the best apps released yet.
it was available thursday night and through friday... was pulled from itunes store twice.'
yup i heard about this and saw it on the store before it got pulled the 2nd time. sigh, looks like one has to actually break the law and jailbreak ones phone to allow it to do things it should outright, since this is outside of someones idea of 'acceptable use'.
Re: 3G iPhone
Actually Teleport from Jugaari is the best application ever. This is the sweetest VNC client. You have complete control of your desktop. Go to flash sites, control media, access files, etc. Freaking brilliant. Steep price of 24.99, but way worth it. Netshare may break your agreement with ATT, be cautious if you have it.

Re: 3G iPhone
I don't know about the iPhone but I've been on 3G since January 2nd and it really depends on where you are. For the western US, it is ass in most places. When it works, if it works, really... if it works, it is slow. It is nice to get your emails, be texting and on the phone at the same time while updating your schedule in the calendar though. It's just far too often that it isn't that smooth.
Re: 3G iPhone
I've been running on 3G since early this year too. Though it may be a new thing for AT&T, other providers are moving towards 4G technologies. Kamal, you should check out some of the new devices being released by HTC. Really slick devices. I've had GPS on my device since last year. The only real downfall is Windows mobile but it has it's advantages too (app availability). The other thing to keep in mind is the soon to be released Google Android. I've been running a beta release on my phone and I gotta say its really nice. I think everyone will forget about Windows Mobile and iPhone once its released (BTW it will run on an iPhone too). To get an idea of some of the innovative features check out this video:

Re: 3G iPhone
Well T-mobile just announced the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream).
Also worth checking out is the HTC Touch HD. Thing walks all over the iphone, but I'm sure it will cost much more: http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/15/htcs-touch-hd-unveiled-in-very-much-official-glory/
