ps3 comes out late spring i think.

i was going to buy the 360 but the price is insane...400 for the unit with memory, 50 PER controller it doesnt come with...50 per game (all the good games cost between 50-60). Fuck that. What parent is going to be spending 600+ for a video game system this christmas?

I bought the ps2 yesterday instead. With a ton of games. fuck paying 600 min.

i just dont see a ton of families rushing to buy it for their kids till the price drops. i mean you dont even get ONE controller, thats insanity.

my bf was mad i bought the ps2 he was gonna go get the 360 today...after i told him how much i bought for the same amount of money he agreed. he couldnt believe the 360 was such a ripoff lol.

and u have to add another 100 bucks for the harddisk which is not included ... its definately a ripoff imo .. gonna wait for ps3 which should be worth the wait even though its only gonna be out late next spring

Im glad sony lost its monopoly over the gaming market though.. it destroyed the dreamcast and i didnt want the same to happan to the Xbox.

i do enjoy video games from time to time, but my roommates friend queued up at wal-mart from 8am yesterday to get one. its absolutely insane to me how into video games some people are... i think people that play video games religiously are on the same level as people that sit and watch tv all the time, rotting their brains, and it kinda sucks because some of my friends are video game obsessives (including one who has willingly put himself in a very tough financial situation because he just couldnt live without a 360.) that being said, i will be over his place playing it for a little while some time this week :lol:

i also hear games are $60 is that correct?

Peloquin i agree with most of what ur saying cause i have a mate like that,

I think when some games come along and u spend along time playing them.. i like games with a plot and all that..games like shenmue, the resident evil series from the start and other games like halo, metal gear..

then theres fun ones like beat em ups and racing games.. i wanna get a 360 for PGR alone... looks fantastic...

dont get me wrong, i have put hours over the years into games, but i have friends (and a roommate) who will literally sit and play xbox for 10 hours straight if they have the day off)

one time, my roommate flaked out on stopping by to see his little sister on her birthday because a friend called him asking if he wanted to play halo :lol:

dont think so ... final fantasy XII is still being released on ps2 next year and future installments are planned for ps3 if im not mistaken

v-games aren't my bag, I have neither the time nor the interest, I did see a show about 360 on whatever that gamer cable network is, and they are making some amazing visuals these days :shock:

Magnus purchased 7 pre-orders over the summer and took today off from work to pick them all up. He called me and said Quake IV is fucking amazing. He's planning to sale 6 of the 7 and will most likely for double what he paid. This can be gauged by looking at EBay.. people are unloading these things for $1200+ when they were only purchased for $400.

back in India, one of my friends knows a dealer of Modded PS2s which come modded straight from Japan and he sells burnt games for $2 / game. So we ended up buying like 20 different games over summer including Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow / Chaos Theory and they worked like a charm.

Hopefully they will have mod chips out for the PS3 too

actually, microsoft made a deal with squaresoft so yea, the next final fantasy will be available on 360. it looks like a pretty killer system. it does come with a wireless controller and a bunch of other stuff. the core system sucks. i think i'm going to hold off though til i see what the ps3 looks like. besides gta is probably the best games for any console. gonna have to play that once it comes out for the ps3.

To my understanding Sony's PS3 won't be out until Xmas '06 and it'll be even more expensive than the Xbox 360 since it has a Blu Ray drive.

Like many others, I'm waiting for the PS3. It is just superior hardware wise. Plus the new Metal Gear and Devil May Cry look unreal. :shock:

if anyone of yis know anyone working in microsoft you can get microsoft studio games from the internal shop for next to nothing. only thing is the staff member has to be the one to buy them but controllers and all are way cheaper.....

The PS3 is rumoured to cost US$600-700 for the console alone when its released. It will suffer the same lack of supply as the 360 and won't be released until before the xmas holiday period 2006. The 360 has two options, one with just the system and a wired controller, the other with the whole lot, wireless, hard drive, microphone, etc, etc for only 100 bucks more. Much better to give the public a choice and a discount for getting the whole kit.

come on people, get your facts straight before posting. the ps3 is going to be under $400 as confirmed by sony. do you really think sony would release something at $600 or $700 when the 360 retails for 400 and will already, by the time ps3 comes out, have a huge base. check this link out

Rootkits only affect your personal computer. If they wanted to install some crazy software to monitor their own system...well...that wouldn't make any sense.
