ok. as the title states, this will be my first time making the conference.

i have my week pretty much planned out, but im wondering with all of the day parties and extra late nights, when do i have time to sleep? seems like theres stuff going on non stop and i would be exhausted after day 2. how do you guys manage to stay up all night dancing then go to these day events only to spend all night doing it again?

so much to do, so little time!

Re: First timer to WMC advice needed

i could tell you. but i might incriminate myself. :Who: umm, just remember this..... you sleep for 51 weeks out of the year anyways, why not completely deprive yourself for 1 week and make the most out of your trip. i refuse to sleep when i go down there. i just can't see any reason for sleep when there's a party with a dj you want to hear happening 24 hours a day.

Re: First timer to WMC advice needed

yeah ive pretty much figured that all i need is about 4 hours of sleep/nap time, lol and i should be good to go. of course i might need some help :D

also i wanted to know from WMC veterans about scheduling your time. does it always change or can you actually stick to a plan. how much do schedules change when you are actually there?

Re: First timer to WMC advice needed

each year i lay out a stellar party schedule, but each year it gets jumbled. you end up going to other parties and skipping the ones you meant to go to. or the party you're at is kicking so much ass you just can't go to another party. just go with the flow and you'll have a great time.

Re: First timer to WMC advice needed

Last year was my first year, and I had no idea what I was up for..

We ended up purchasing a bunch of pre-sales, and when we got there, we didn't attend half of the parties. If there are certain events that you know that no act of God can keep you from, buy your tickets. Otherwise, make a list of "possibilities" and just go where you want at the flip of a hat.

The technique that I'm trying to work this year is getting on as many guest lists as possible, just so I know I have a place to go.

As for sleep.. we caught up on "relaxation of the body" at the pool parties. There wasn't much time for sleep at all. The Cuban coffee will wire you up right, as will massive ammounts of Red Bull if you're not down for the other stuff.

My biggest lesson learned the hard way from last year... Wear comfortable shoes.. Always. You'll walk/dance more in one week than you will in a given month. Make sure you take care of your feet.

so far i only have tickets to howells, then sasha&digweed. everything else will hopefully go smoothly as i have events planned but can be changed if need be...
