Should I go to WMC with skahound and Localizer?

Me going depends on this topic. I'ma be in Europe for 4 weeks immediatelly beforehand, so I honestly could care less what happens.

I'm of the opinion that everyone, dance music fan or not, should go at least once. It's an experience you'll never forget. But be careful...it can be habit forming. You'll find yourself being extremely impatient and irritable waiting for March to come around. :P

BTW how are we all going to meet up. If some of you are already going to be together we should pick a bar or something to meet at the first night we are all there. Any other ideas??

I've been busy. Worked 170 hours the past two weeks, with 45 hours overtime each week. Was in Germany last week, now in Switzerland, and heading to Spain tomorrow... and next week in Spain will be the same crazy hours. I'm itching to go to Miami, but I haven't had time to do anything about booking/planning/etc. I want to go. I came on here to try checking the party schedules and suddenly saw this topic... I guess it doesn't look good.

I need to find a place to stay, because I'm not paying $150/night for 5 nights in my own room. If someone knows where I can stay, I'll order my tickets.

Gotta get back to work. :?

Pickle I haven't booked my room yet but its me and 3 others. I don't know where things are so my g/f is looking around. If we can find something that has 2 beds and a pull out sofa bed you can stay with us for 1/5th the cost of the room. Trying to keep it 200 and under a night. If you or anyone knows the area and can make a suggestion, I can get something booked and we can make it happen. Otherwise the way it looks as of now we are just going to try to find a hotel when we get there, but even so if you need a place we'll take you in (since you like cheap dates and all :Naughty: )

BTW if anyone know can give me suggestions please do!

^^^ Holiday Inn on Collins. Stayed there the past 2 years. It's not the Wyndham, but it's about 3 blocks away from everything in South Beach and it's right on the beach. I think our room is around $165 a night. Decent.

Damn, that sucks. We got our room like 2 months ago. There is always a bunch of conference goers there, but I didn't think enough to sellout.

Yeah, but it could be a situation like me staying with my sister. I'd stay with her, but she just had a baby and my brother-in-law has to be up at the crack of dawn because he's working on some major cases right now so I kind of ruled out the option of staying with them myself.

Ok so it looks like we'll be staying north of SB. Guess I shouldn't have waited so long. Went to book a car yesterday, dropped my jaw when I saw 500+ a week. Luckily I found a place for 280 after taxes and all for the week.

Next time I'm booking really early, but at least next year I'll have a much better idea of the area.

We may end up staying north on the first night and see if we can find anything closer for the rest of the week (lots of hotels saying check back for cancellations).

So far this month I've been on the Virginian coast (Newport News), Germany, Switzerland, Spain (Barcelona), St Louis next weekend, then Miami the week after. Too much travel.
