[b][i]Made Event[/i][/b] transports the Canadian star [b]Mistress Barbara [/b]as she graces us with her light on [b][u]Friday, May 22nd[/u][/b] at [b]Cielo[/b].
Not afraid to expose her vulnerable side, [b]Mistress Barbara[/b] speaks out her heart and soul as she embarks on a whole new adventure with the release of [i][u]I’m No Hum[/u][u]an[/u][/i], her first album as a songwriter out on [i]Maple Music Recordings[/i] in May 2009. One of the most remarkable aspects is that the album sees Barbara herself on vocals. Lush melodies overlay minimal beats accompanied by her intoxicating femme fatale voice, unraveling a happy development born out of unhappy circumstance.
The album is her most personal yet and is inspired from the passing of her late father.[i] “I know he would be very, very proud. He played guitar, violin, piano,” [/i]Barbara says. On recording violins in the studio, she adds, [i]“I had tears in my eyes. He would be so happy. [/i]
Pouring out her feelings in [i][u]I’m No Human[/u][/i], Barbara shines on through a cover of [b]Leonardo Cohen’s[/b] “Dance Me To The End of Love”; [i]“Everything in my life is for love.
