Only stay at the Delano or the Ritz-Carlton. All the hotels were destroyed by the hurricanes.

The Delano!

My 1st year there, I stayed at The Marseille.. that was a nice hotel, and very reasonable.. right on Collins about 5 blocks from The Loews.

if you want to just walk to the ultra festival which is at bayfront park, then you can't beat the intercontinental or the hyatt. i stayed at the hyatt and it was sooooo convenient! you don't have to deal with all the traffic either. remember, these hotels are in miami, not miami beach. you will need a rental car for sure to get to the hot spots in miami beach.

i stayed at the winterhaven, which is right on ocean drive and is a beatiful hotel... & right in the middle of everything.

yeah, most on collins, ocean, washington.. are in the thick of where you need to be.

Sorry, but I must disagree...never rent a car for WMC. You'll spend half the week looking for parking, or paying out the nose for it. Lots of cabs available...cheaper, quicker.

^^^^^^ and more exciting!!! lol

I'm sure HBO's Taxicab Confessions would not be disappointed

to which i must disagree... if you plan to stay around south beach and only around there, sure, take a cab. but miami beach is pretty long and you'd want to go into miami here and there too... not all clubs are in or close to south beach. with inadequate public transit in pretty much 98% of US, i would suggest a car. not to mention, getting across the miami-miami beach bridge in the evenings (esp fri, sat), esp. during the wmc, esp when ultra is on could take more than an hour! i sat in my car for 1.5 hours. traffic is that bad! imagine getting trapped in a cab for that long. you'd pay enough to get a rental car for the whole week!

Are you guys using websites like travelocity or expedia to book hotels and airline tickets or are you just making seperate reservations?
