WOOHOO!!!! Whos heading to Zabeila in Detroit on Turkey Night??? HMMMMMM should be a good time, but i'd have to say i never been to Bleu or i have yet to see James....How is he live??? I have a few mixes of his over the last year and everyone seems to rock!!! Cant wait!!

bleu is honestly the worst bar i have ever been to in my whole life.. Zabiela is really good but the atmosphere there sucks so don't have your hopes set to high.. the system is sub par and the crowd doesn't get what is going on.. but try to have a good time.. :lol:

Agreed, detroit sucks as far as progressive goes. Danny Howells was in ann arbor over the summer and the place was not even packed at all. There have been a lot of prog djs roll through the detroit area that really can't pack a club. But if a local tech dj rolls throgh u can't even get into the place. So i guess it just depends on who u go see. Don't knock detroit. Just knock the people with bad music taste.

because people here for some stupid reason only look at who is at the top of the charts.. Tiesto.. so they will go see him.. if they give it a shot compared to there top 40 music.. they think #20 must be shit compared to #1 and in reality they don't havee a fucking clue.. but that makes me kind of happy because i don't want them there anyways..

I completely agree with you. I used to go to detroit all the time but I probalby make it up there like 2-3 times a yr and that is it. But like you said it is good sometimes that there are not a lot of people there to see the djs that are ranked lower. Personally I think the dj poll is a crock of shit and anyone that follows that is a dumbass anyways. I really fell no need to hang out with them. Just my opinion though.

Come to Toronto on 26th instead. He'll be at System Soundbar and you can get hooked up with reduced guestlist ([url=http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6096]Here[/url]). I know it's a longer drive but i think it's worth it. Much better venue even though a bit more crowded than Bleu. The good thing about it is that the majority of the crowd atually goes there for the music and you won't see anyone asking questions like: "who is that guy?" or "I wish he played something we could dance to" :roll:

And yes, Zabiela is unfuckingbeliveable, and he's such a cool guy. Always having fun. He will blow your mind, you have my word :D

Wish i could make it out of Detroit for Chi town or Toronto, but can't. I have heard that the crowd sucks at bleu, but i've also heard that the soundsystem is above average....plus i will definitely not be going for the crowd!!!

im skipping this and going to see deep dish in chicago the next night, jz is great and all, but bleu is the wrong place for it.

bleu is expensive as shit as far as drinks go. cheezy people always end up there too. at least you'll get to stare at some fake titties though. sound isn't bad there, though, so it may be worth seeing JZ. i may end up going. :?:

uh ya they are still around, and trust me when i say they impressed EVERYONE at sound bar. from your review of JZ, it sounds like i def made right descision. I'll see jz again, just not here in this shit hole.
