I went to Ultra my first year as well and swore that I would never go back. Way too many fuking kids all kinds all fucked up. I did get to see Hybrid (live pa), Junkie XL (live pa), and RITM (live pa) all in one day which was awesome. But it didnt make up for it. Save your $60 and go to a day party instead.

Last year Proton Radio hosted 3 of them, no cover, even free booze and some of the hottest up+coming talent around.

Also check out Remix Hotel - you have to sign up (it's free) to attend but can do so the day of. The afternoon poolside sessions are incredible - imagine seeing Infusion, Greyarea and JXL all in the same evening!

So even if it's a chore to drag your still drunk ass out to these - go hear some amazing tunes, meet like-minded people in hassle-free environs and hey, a li'l sunshine is good for ya too.

Anyone got any good websites to look up for up coming event leading into WMC??? Clubs, dj's spinning at which clubs which nights....i know it a lil early but can prepare too soon...any help would be appreciated..

the movim party during saturday afternoon '04 wmc was sick. cant remember the name of the hotel though.

Hey guys...remember me? I think I'm going to be missing the majority of the conference :( My Spring Break is in late feb/early march. I barely have time to even scan the boards anymore so I know that I might not be able to escape for a few days...this really bums me out. I'll definately try to at least make it on th-sat or something like that. This really sucks :(

yes, we should all hae a good ms get together.....and yes an ms tent is in order at wmc....it'd be nice if we could do that and have our own ms people spin under the tent or something....

it should be a lot easier to get in hopefully without all the spring breakers there. last year we waited outside nerve for the bedrock party for ages, there was no queueing system at all. people were just being 'chosen' and allowed entry (paying 50 dollars in too) load of krap. some of the best fun we had were at the day parties and spontaneous gigs .. :Smiling:

Damn, reading this thread is getting me super excited about WMC. I've never been before so I must go this time around. Being from Charleston I dont get to hear alot of good music, so I'll just have to save up and go this year.

I have to say that living in Australia sucks when I read some of the posts about the WMC. All we get here is the odd international DJ on a quick jaunt through the Oceanic into Asia and Europe. It's probably a good thing for my mental health that I don't live in Miami otherwise I might be a brain damage risk.
