Re: Sasha & Three @ Escape (Minneapolis) 10/16

Sorry Jib, Dylan doesn't ring a bell...

As for Saturday night, here's my take...

DJ Three was fucking great. He warmed up the night with a wide variety of tracks. Most of the stuff he played I have never heard. He played deep and I was loving it. He also managed to play Nathan Fake's 'Sky was Pink' and James Holden's 'Break in the Clouds'. Catch him if you can Three will impress! :Bingo:

Sasha was disappointing to say the least. He didn't get started til almost 1 am. When he finally did get on he played some ten minute track that about put me to sleep. He also dropped Guy Gerber 'Stoppage Time' and Chable and Bonnicci 'Ride'(King Unique Remix). He was mediocre at best, I would have preferred to hear Three all night. :|

Anyways it was fun, I was drunk with alot of friends, bring on the next prog show...

yeah man. Three is from tampa (where i'm from) seen him spin numerous times. seen him fuck up numerous times too, but usually only when playing a small party. he's a top notch dj when it counts.

Re: Sasha & Three @ Escape (Minneapolis) 10/16

Jib,

I ran into a Dylan on Sat. night at the show.

He was promoting himself, got a prog. demo from him (pretty damn good I might add).

Not sure if its the same person your talking about, but he was real down to earth, sounds like he has been in the music scene for some time.. lived in Florida and NYC..has a studio now in minneapolis.

Same guy?

yes, same guy. we lived together in Orlando for a while. used to play all over central florida together. and i have the same promo he mailed to me a few weeks ago: Year Of The Drum good mix. nice "tribute" to GU 019 near the end.

minneapolis eh? just got a phone call for an invite to meet & jam with this 'legendary' man thanks to a good friend of mine (Shawn Luke).... Perhaps it's time to bring the Progressive Collective in Minneapolis back together, most seem to have jumped onto the minimal bandwagon as of late...

How you doin In-Sight???
