A BIG hello and exciting news from Buzzlife Productions to the underground dance community:

It has been nearly a year since the Buzz/Nation Closing Party last July when I last had the opportunity to reach out to our community. During this time, we have had the opportunity to bring DC such artists such as John Digweed, MSTRKRFT, Grandmaster Flash, Hybrid, John B, Lee Coombs and others. We have worked with venues such as the infamous 930 Club, Avenue, Five, R&R Lounge and The Rock & Roll Hotel.

I am writing to tell you that Buzzlife has been invited to participate in this year?s Virgin Festival dance tent. We are completely blown away by this invitation.

The two-day 2007 Virgin Festival will take place at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore on August 4th and 5th.

The Virgin Festival, much like Buzzlife itself, is strongly committed to the dance music community. They have put together a lineup unlike any other the mid-Atlantic has seen in years: Sasha & Digweed, LCD Soundsystem, Danny Tenaglia, Infected Mushroom, Miguel Migs, Sander Van Doorn, Dieselboy vs Andy C, and much MORE! (Full lineup, including bands, listed below)

These superstars will be showcased in the manner they deserve. Inside the massive dance tent, there will be unparalleled sound, state-of-the-art lights and video, and a few Buzzlife surprises to help ensure this event will be unforgettable. In addition to the tent, there will be great music presented on the outdoor stages and plenty of other interesting attractions on site.

It is very rare that I write to you personally to announce a show, so I am sure you can sense my excitement. I hope you are as excited as I am. Check out http://www.buzzlife.com and http://www.virginfestival.com for more info and make sure you get your tickets early before they sell out!

With much respect,

Scott Henry

Re: Virgin Festival - To Our Valued Patrons From Buzzlife Founder

^^Bought my ticket last night....98 bucks is a steal to get The Police, Beasties, S&D & DT in one day. Sure, its going to be a huge festival crowd of a hundred thousand, but the line-up for me is to irresitible to miss. And you dont have to pay to park if you can walk (or take the metro). Your shitty ass attitude isnt going to change my feelings about it.

Re: Virgin Festival - To Our Valued Patrons From Buzzlife Founder

especially when people who go to see these acts seperately, are going to pay out the ass for this kind of talent.

Get texting and you might get there for free!!!

Re: Virgin Festival - To Our Valued Patrons From Buzzlife Founder

the beastie boys(men) IMO should have retired about 15 years ago. I get soo damn tired of hearing their raps about how good they are on the mic, and about all the wannabe mc's....gimme a break.

Re: Virgin Festival - To Our Valued Patrons From Buzzlife Founder

Im in with fellow MS member zeronineteen and 2 other buddies. Just got our Tix, and booked Hotel @ Days Inn Baltimore West. Cant wait for S & D- I plan on taking Pic's as well as video. Zabelia, Sander, Deep Dish..... Should be a blinder. All I want to know is where is everyone goin after? The "Official AfterParty" @ Sonar is DJ Uberzone (Breaks) and Z-Trip (Hip Hop or somethin)...... With that said, Im looking for an afterparty. Where the hell are all the DJ's that are playin at the festival goin after the show? Why didnt someone book one of them. No offense to Scott, but Im just not lookin to hear BreakBeats after being Wooahed by Sasha and Digweed. Fuck That.

Re: Virgin Festival - To Our Valued Patrons From Buzzlife Founder

unfortunately baltimore isn't much of a club town. scott henry will be playing sonar afterwards but other then that there really isn't much. mosaic lounge while in a cheesy part of the city, is actually not too bad of a club. they should have some soulful house dj. other then that there isn't much. ill be at the festival so shoot me a PM and let's meet up

Re: Virgin Festival - To Our Valued Patrons From Buzzlife Founder

This is just the information I was looking for, granted its not the tunes I was wanting to listen to though. Ill be heading up tonight for the festival. I only hope S&J play a set half as good as bonaroo and ill be just fine. Sonar and Mosiac aren't much to choose from but ive got a feeling ill be dragged out to one of them. Ill be back with some pics!!

I can't wait for this, the line up looks amazing. If there are any aspiring music journalists out there there's a good competition for you to get free tickets, I've already got mine so thought i would spread the word in case anyone wants to go for free. http://music.virgin.com/vpass/
