It was a pretty good time. I didn't stay long because I was with some friends and we had another party to go to. From what I heard of Habersham, I thought his first few mixes we off and I didn't really care for the tracks he played. They were decent but not what I was expecting to hear. I'm not really sure how he played after we left, hopefully he picked it up a little bit. Some hot chicks would have made it much better but they were nowhere insight.Thanks Joe for the hook up.

i have been thumping the audio while i drive around at werk all day..........habbertheshit's set is wikkid!......... thank you joe an opportunity to play at this gig........for the 5 star accomadations/limo ride.......and for all your work in planning this event! good to see you all again and to meet you new friends........and the lovely ladies who i was most honored to dance with........ thanks to karen and steve for my vacation time on decisions(not i.h.o.p....lol),the home town crew who came out!....

I had an amazing time. i will write more about it once i go thru all of this. it was a great weekend over all from playing in sarasota friday night to being picked up at the hotel by ska to go to sound check to the peak of Damons set and onward.. wait til you hear the sets from that night.

and IMHO the iriver hd120 IS the way to go for recording live sets!

finally my review of the night at cleo's... sorry for the delay..

ok.. so.. here goes

After about 4 or so hours sleep from the night before playing in Sarasota to an intimate crowd at Hammerhead Reds, we set off to O-town around 1:30.. battling the always existent traffic on I4 we get to the hotel at about 4 pm or round about. Joe aka skahound, checks us in to the hotel and wisks us away to Cleo's for sound check.. yes, we ARE rock stars, lol. After battling a humming sound from the speakers for a few hours all is set for the night and at 9:45 the proverbial needle drops.. laser in this instance but you get the point.

I started out the night with some funky house.. Jevne - Greenway.. moving through tracks like Feel by Li'Sha, Muttonheads - "To You" on into Space Maneuvres - Quadrant 4.. then things got a bit more progressive building up into russells set.. he took us on a proggy breaky ride for just over an hour, showcasing our own David Crawford aka thirtene and his remix of Deepsky&Marc Mitchells " lost in the moment", a proggy-beaks gem that is a must for your record box or cd case..at 12 midnight the geezer Habersham took over, taking it down a notch, and i mean by dropping some minimal beats, blippy techy, headbobbing stuff. moving thru to some of his signature breaks and back into some prog house engulfing our minds in some tasty beats for better than 2 hours. the crowd wasnt as big as we had hoped, but the people that were there were treated to a night of music that encompassed everything EDM is about, good beats, good friends, good drinks, and a journey across the full spectrum of EDM as a true house party should!

the pics have been posted, and the audio has been approved by Damon, or Habersham, for release.

thank you to everyone that came out and supported and worked to make this 1st installment of the mercurysessions/tampahousemusic series a success!
