Butlers game on Sat. was a great nailbiter. This is still neck and neck in the 2nd half sofar tonight. This is awesome stuff sofar. The city has been freaking crazy all weekend, and if Butler wins it is going to be some amazing stuff. Go Bulldogs:!:

MAN AGGGGGGG that game was so close. DAMN!!! Very exciting stuff though. Damnit I wish Butler would have been able to pull it off though.

Just think how much better it could have been, too, if that final shot had been about an inch lower on the backboard -- we'd be talking about that shot for eons to come!

mmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn damnit!!! dont remind me. I can't believe how well that team did this season, it was amazing. That is all the whole town has been talking about the last few weeks. I work right downtown by Conseco Fieldhouse where the Final Four games are always played and its been nuts these last two weeks. Man I wish they could have pulled it off.

I know! if I had launched that shot i would almost wish it would have been an air ball, being THAT close

Wish I had been able to lay some $$$ down, I heard the spread at one point was 7?!

Re: Butler vs. Duke

I wish I knew where to make bets (legally) for stuff like this, I would have easily dropped $100 and taken Butler with the points!

Re: Butler vs. Duke

If Butler wouldn't have gone for 7 and a half minutes without a field goal, that last ditch shot wouldn't have been necessary, but props to Butler, they proved that a small program can run with the big dawgs.

Re: Butler vs. Duke

thats true, the ncaa tournament is the best annual sporting event! I'm not too sure about this expansion crap though

Re: Butler vs. Duke

i'm torn between whether expansion is a good idea or not... i like the idea of seeing more tournament games but think it takes a lot of prestige/oompf out of the regular season and would cause teams not to play so hard.

Re: Butler vs. Duke

I just think conference regular season winners need to be rewarded somehow. I think for the smaller conferences just the tourney winner getting in takes away from the regular season. imo. I think however they choose to expand will not change that the NCAA b-ball tourney is magical and captivating.

Re: Butler vs. Duke

from what I'm hearing it will be 96 teams with the top 8 in each region getting a first round bye, which is ok i guess, since a 16 has never beaten a 1 how on earth was a 24 seed going to do it? lol

I love college basketball, but I'm not in favor of the expansion at all. I mean, you let in another 32 teams, not a one of which has a realistic shot of actually winning the damn thing. How many Division 1 schools are there? I could imagine a situation where you had teams that were under .500 getting an at large bid to the tourney, or teams that have decent records but that would get absolutely clobbered by a school in one of the main conferences. Good from a "making money for the NCAA standpoint," not so great from a competitive standpoint, IMO.
