Hey folks, it's that time of year again, when college basketball fans and people who just want to have something to chat about at the water cooler for the next few weeks fill out their brackets and hope for the best. As in the past, I've set up a pick-the-bracket style pool, where you're picking the teams that you think will advance through the final game. Detailed rules can be found on the site, but points will be awarded as follows, multiplied by the seed:
Round 1: 1 point Round 2: 2 points Round 3: 3 points Round 4: 5 points Round 5: 7 points Round 6: 10 points
In other words, you are rewarded more for correctly picking upsets and closely matched games.

Each pickset is only $10 -- feel free to enter as many times as you wish -- and the total pot last year was over $700. Also, while it isn't limited to people from [ms] by any stretch, as administrator of the pool, I know who I know from where, and will make sure the [ms] user with the best score gets recognized, so you'll at least have bragging rights around here for a year. 8) You must have your picks in by 11:20 CDT on Thursday and have at least contacted me regarding payment (click on help email to the left to reach me) for your picks to be valid. Payment via PayPal is STRONGLY preferred.
