I like the fact that Mourinho said he wanted barcelona. i thought him to be arrogant when he was with porto, but now i see him more and more with chelsea, i like his style.

juve liverpool psv arsenal inter chelsea milan bremen

Pretty much agree except I reckon Monaco and Lyon will go through.

Some great games. Just hope the Reds can get some consistency going and the other players can give Stevie G some help. Bit of a one man team recently. What a player though.

Real Madrid - Juventus Manchester - AC Milan

:Respect:

Teams that will go through: Juventus Leverkussen Monaco Arsenal Inter Barcelona AC Milan Werder Bremen

Champions League winner: Barcelona

Thank goodness Liverpool got an easy(ish) draw - but the 1st leg will be hard as Gerrard is suspended  . They need to sign Anelka to add some much needed firepower - progressing would cover the fee.

Juve have the hoo-do over Real, and Italian clubs do not always fare well against english clubs - but Schevchenko is awesome on his day.

Barca/Chelsea is too close to call - one amazing attack against a team built around keeping things tight. My suspicion is that Chelsea will buy big in the transfer window.

Liverpool to progress with Juve, Liverpool, Monaco, Bayern, Inter, Chelsea, Milan and Lyon.

#321992Post 8 of 55

Yeah, Chelsea will buy very big. That Abramovitsj guy is probably one of the richest managers around, isn't he?

Guess everyone sees Arsenal getting a victory over Munich...

I have my doubts...Makaay will get through their defense def. a couple of times

He's the Owner and dodgy Russian oil-magnate (with an obscene fortune) that is gradually ruining football.

Not the I'm bitter !

Three German teams under the last 16 in the CL. Can't wait for next year.

Real Madrid x Juventus considering the fact that juve only conceeded one goal in the qualifying round and that they are on the top of the italina league, they will most probably bitchslap the so-called galacticos. but then again, you never know as they are the galacticos and this is the champions league...

Liverpool x Leverkusen liverpool definitely needs firepower to overcome this and anelka seems like the first target... but, it is not gonna be very easy as barca, after losing their backup hitter henrik larsson; might give them a run for their money come the transfer window. keep in mind that leverkusen is a very very solid team. check out what they did to real madrid in the quals... my money is on leverkusen for this tie.

PSV x Monaco too tough to call, but i reckon monaco will advance with the help of javier saviola; who most probably wants to face barca at one point, to slap back at them for letting him go on a loan...

Bayern x Arsenal who are we kidding? bayern will kill arsenal. arsenal is a very good team, but only in the overrated premier league. you dont get the space henry and the rest of the crew need to attack in the champ league, and bayern most certainly wont give em that. also, this fixture will be a war of keepers - kahn vs lehmann- wc2006 anyone? :) and lehmann does not stand much of a chance against the likes of makaay and ballack.

23/02/2005

Porto x Internazionale porto sucks big time after maurinho left them. im sure even they are surprised to be through to the next round. they have a tough time scoring and inter has a tought time conceeding. :) inter is the team of glorious draws this season. a draw in porto, and an adriano show in milan. neeext...

Barcelona x Chelsea arguably the best player in the universe right now vs real world championship manager player abramovic. very tough one to call, but the discussion should be on how much abramovic would pay for ronaldinho next season... :D and if ronaldinho would leave barca after making them the winners of champ league.

Man. United x Milan i think man u stands no chance against andriy, kaka and the like. roooooonaldo, and van nistelrooy could probably only get a draw at home, and they will be in for a serious bitch slapping in milan. just-quit-fergie.

Bremen x Lyon bremen is just like a german engineered piece of mechanics. all the screws are well fit in. but they made it to the next round thanks to valencia's unbelievable incompetence this season. lyon's midfield is very creative with juninho and malouda, and these two have a flock of tireless runners right behind them, letting them create shit loads of chances for govou, wiltord and the sensational vilmar. my money is on lyon with this one...

sorry for the long post but, hear my out nba. i love 'this' game!!!

my 2cents.

heh, yes he's kinda arrogant but I like his style too.. sometimes he's funny.. you guys have to understand that's a personal tactic from himself.. he's very very smart.

I use to love Barcelona until their asshole coach completely mishandeled Saviola and Riquelme. I will root for Chelsky this time. :D

#322754Post 19 of 55

did they sell saviola and riquelme or loan them out?

#322758Post 20 of 55
did they sell saviola and riquelme or loan them out?
Both loaned out, but I felt that really treated Riquelme like shit. I know Ronaldinho is a great player, but they took the #10 Jersey from Riquelme and shipped him off.

#322759Post 21 of 55

Riquelme is a awesome player.. I still keep some of the best vids from him.. doing all that magical tricks with the ball

Cracking game.

Felt sorry for Barca ... crap defending - but their passing movement and forward play was light years ahead of Chelski.

Poor miss from Eto'o - typically I knew that Chelsea would grap a goal from a set piece with 15 mins to go.

#373220Post 27 of 55

Werder Bremen lost so bad yesterday against Lyon...it's a shame. How can you get seven goals in just one Game WTF. They lost 3:0 when they played at home two weeks ago so that makes a total of ten goals. Hopefully Bayern won't go down this evening as well against Arsenal. :youdork:

yeah, ok.. they scored on a pk, a gift.. and a goal by the donkey.. yes it was nice.. but their passing was hardly light years ahead of chelsea. and maybe players like Ron the donkey, should keep their mouths closed before big matches like this.

#373321Post 30 of 55

What a fuckin game last night!!! WOW!!! This is what footy is all about. I was suporting Barca but Chelsea really did a great job.

Can you watch these Games in the USA on "normal" TV or is this Pay per View TV only?

#373390Post 35 of 55

pretty much PPV only. occasionally i think they will play a champs league game on espn. we get a lot of the english games on fsc thats all that im really worried about

#373391Post 36 of 55

GO GERMANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#373394Post 37 of 55

in the US you need ESPN Latino....

#373396Post 38 of 55

they will play one champs league match on espn or espn2. and the others on espn deportivo or something. most others are on satellite, not even ppv.

I am hoping the gunners can turn this around, only to make donkey boy look more af a fucking idiot. And of course he (ron-world footballer-cry baby) is complaining that chelsea fouled the keeper on the winning goal. so disgusting when a top club cannot accept defeat like professionals.

i dont know, how about actually defend, and not let someone as good as Terry even get to the ball. as open as he was, they deserved to be scored on.. and from about 12 yards out, if not more.. that was brilliant!

#373436Post 39 of 55

So after the game we had ronaldinho and eto talking about the way chelsea won the game.. I still don't get it why they are so nervous about, they lost the game, chelsea deserved to win and so they did. Chelsea is on the next stage, Go Go Mourinho

#373527Post 40 of 55

Sucks to see Barca out, but that's the way it goes. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea will hold on......I hope not.
