unwarranted blasphemy
minus two cool points from danton summersby. you twat. educate yourself and come back in a few years. correct me if i'm wrong, but wasnt Randy Johnson on fire for the Diamondbacks last season? despite the rest of his team sucking major rod, he did pitch a no-hitter at one point. i'll not stand for this dirty talk any more D-Munny. :(
Jeter wants the 'Big Unit' in his ass.
you must have taken a double dose of your clever pills today skat lip.
he had a 16-11 record and a 3.56 era, way far fetch than his previous stellar years like 24-3 record and a 1.25 era, now that is when the should have got him but no they wanted to see if some juicers would get them somewhere. They totally forgot about pitching the past couple years. Now its biting them in the arse.
thats not tto ay they won't bounce back from it though. they need some really good pitching and they need to get rid of A-Rod.
Johnson's numbers for last year are incredibly misleading. He was playing for the Bad News Bears at best. He utterly dominated batters, including the Braves who he threw the no-hitter against. The problem in Arizona last year was that when even one run was let in, they had almost no chance of victory. Randy approached every situation as needing to throw a shut-out. Imagine how good he will be when he is relaxing with a six, eight, or ten run lead.

he pitched a perfect game actually... even better than a no hitter.
Whoever the Yanks get for pitching it will be an improvement. Bring on Beltran!!!!!!
beltran said he doesn't want to play for the yanks.
YANKEES !!! imagine their starting rotation, johnson, pavano, mussina...what a great 1-2-3...
mets should get beltran, but they don't have enough money now that they signed pedro. they should get rid of piazza and get delgado...he's much more versatile. yes, i'm a met fan and proud to admit it
^ beltran is going to stay in houston. i guarantee you.
Re: looks like the yanks are getting the big unit
sickboy, his record this past year is no indication of what he did. look at his ERA and the scorecards fromthose losses. most were lost when he only let up 1 or 2 runs. 3 games he pitched into the 7th with only 1 run and he bullpen lost it. and hell he pitched a perfect game
Go Yanks!!!!!!! I'm still not over how the biggest CHOKE in history. I hope we win it next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's pretty much a done deal...you'll see him in pinstripes. btw. johnson is one of the best pitchers in the game. if he was on a team that gave him any kind of run support, he'd be cy young every year...he's has the potential to win 25-30 games. he's dominating. g'damn yankees!

They still wont beat the sox.2004
i think they have a much better chance to beat the sox this year than last. i was in complete and utter suprise when we went up 3-0 on them. the sox have taken a big hit this year personel wise. but again, there is plenty of time. yanks probably will throw a huge contract at beltran, who already admitted that centerfeild for the yanks is the most prestigious position in all of sports(see mantle, dimaggio, etc)
i will be the first person to admit the sox beat us. they did, the yanks collapsed, the worst one ever. but thier team was built for one year to do just that. i still hate the sox. they did the impossible, and in a huge fashion.

Love the yanks, but you know whats gonna happen. . . . Just like every other high priced player. . .hes gonna suck balls. They need to stop buying over priced old players and keep devloping their farm division.

For 200 million dollars, Beltran will play for whoever Scott Bora's green lights.
