Re: Go on the boys in Green
fuckin henry cheating fucker
Re: Go on the boys in Green
What a fucking cheater.. Bullshit result!!! This is why i prefer rugby, least if there is any doubt of a try they will go to a video ref. FIFA really needs to impose this rule in the future, way to many shitty decisions over the years in football.
Re: Go on the boys in Green
hate the french once more
Re: Go on the boys in Green
not a good way to go out
Re: Go on the boys in Green
I'm fucking sick
Henry claims he approached the ref to say it was handball. Don't believe that shite for a moment.

Re: Go on the boys in Green
i didnt know, there was once a replay of a game due to a "technical mistake " on part of the referees. this is i think the fair thing to do, otherwise the FIFA credibility will fall
Re: Go on the boys in Green
the refs call on the field is final
there will never be a replay system - right now the big teams/nations always get favored, the replay system would only benefit the smaller teams - fifa and uefa are the biggest crime organizations in the world
Re: Go on the boys in Green
^^^ bigger than the nfl? lol
Re: Go on the boys in Green
"The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with play, including whether or not a goal is scored and the result of the match, are final. The referee may only change a decision on realising that it is incorrect or, at his discretion, on the advice of an assistant referee or the fourth official, provided that he has not restarted play or terminated the match."

Re: Go on the boys in Green
what an absolute fucking knob that roy keane is

Roy Keane has lambasted the Republic of Ireland's attempts to get their controversial World Cup play-off match against France replayed. The Republic appealed to Fifa after their 2-1 aggregate defeat by France on the basis that the winning goal came after a blatant Thierry Henry handball. But Ipswich boss Keane said: "They can complain all they want but France are going to the World Cup - get over it. "France were there for the taking and Ireland didn't do it. Same old story." The Irishman, who made 65 appearances for the Republic as a player, continued: "If I'd been there in the dressing room after the game, I wouldn't be talking about the handball. I'd focus on why the defenders didn't clear it. They should've cleared it. "I'd be more annoyed with my defenders and my goalkeeper than Thierry Henry. How can you let the ball bounce in your six-yard box? How can you let Thierry Henry get goal-side of you? If the ball goes into the six-yard box, where the hell is my goalkeeper? "These are skills and lessons you learn as a schoolboy. "Ireland had their chances in the two games and they never took them. They had chances at Croke Park (in the first leg) and they had chances on Wednesday.
"They didn't take them, but it's the usual FAI (Football Association of Ireland) reaction - 'we've been robbed, the honesty of the game...' It's rubbish." And Keane pointed out that controversial decisions went Ireland's way in the qualifying campaign, not least a harsh penalty award against Georgia which helped them to clinch a 2-1 qualifying win in February. "There was one match against Georgia where Ireland got a penalty and it was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen which changed the whole course of the game. "I don't remember the FAI after the game saying we should give them a replay." Keane's antipathy towards the FAI stems back to the Pacific island of Saipan in 2002 when he left the team's pre-World Cup training camp, complaining that the facilities were sub-standard. Despite the efforts of the media, Keane and manager Mick McCarthy failed to resolve the conflict and Keane missed the World Cup.
But he does have a point about one part "I'd be more annoyed with my defenders and my goalkeeper than Thierry Henry. They had chances at Croke Park (in the first leg) and they had chances on Wednesday"

French minister urges Ireland re-match
AFP
Finance Minister Christine Lagarde broke ranks with the French government on Friday and called for the Ireland-France World Cup playoff to be replayed because the French team clinched victory by cheating.
"I'm very happy that the (French) team is in the World Cup but it is very sad to have qualified by cheating," she told RTL radio station.
"I think that in such circumstances it would be good to decide to have the match replayed."
Lagarde said world football's governing body FIFA needed to look again at its rules and that "if the rules are bad then they should be re-examined".
Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen has called on FIFA to order a re-match after France's Thierry Henry helped knock out Ireland with a clear hand ball in Wednesday's game.
Lagarde's comments were in contrast to the position of French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Prime Minister Francois Fillon, who both said politicians should not get involved but leave decisions to FIFA.
FIFA has responded today with "no" to a rematch...
Re: Go on the boys in Green
just to clarify, it is not cheating, is a mistake by the refs witch is a lot different than cheating
Re: Go on the boys in Green
^ absolutely agree
Re: Go on the boys in Green
and of the cheating fucker is saying he thinks FIFA should make them replay it, AFTER that decision not to has been made, lol.. henry's a twat
