It's no longer at the point that the Gators are merely favored. It's a mandate -- by the coaches (53 of 59 first-place votes in their poll); by the media (a record 96.7 percent of the first-place votes in the preseason AP poll).

And we haven't even gotten to the pool of drool surrounding Gator Nation.

The biggest upset of the season will be if Florida doesn't become the third program in history to win three championships in a four-year period. Consider what that means. Since 1950, there has been only one: Nebraska in 1994, '95 and a shared title in '97.

family went to LSU and i lived in louisiana for a long time so i grew up cheering for them. i don't mind the dawgs, but most of their fans are stuck up and silly. (my gf would kill me if she read this, haha)

at this point, because UF is so dominantly and ridiculously good, that's the game i'm looking forward to the most. the fact that we play you at home works to our advantage and given the changes made this off-season to LSU, i think there's potential to upset you guys but it'll be hard as hell and probably unlikely......... and my girl friend expects me to go to a couples' wedding shower the same time the game is on...... HAHAHAHAHA, she's insane.

Ahahaha, funny you should mention that, my wedding is the same day as the Vanderbilt game and my mom's side of the family is fanatical enough to wear earbuds during the ceremony, i know it. :lol: I'd say florida fans have the most respect for LSU, kind of a similar type of fan I think...

hahaha, right? i have to say though, i do have quite a bit of respect..even though the jock sniffers around here make him out to be the second coming of Christ whether he makes it in the nfl or not, he is one of the best college players we will ever see, and deffo should have won the heisman last season..
