no not really... it's just the confederations cup...
oh and you might want to correct the title...
Re: United States beats #1Spain in Federation Cup
yep .. its true ... undefeated since 2006 though this cup is more of an exhibition than a real competition ( not to take away credit to the us ) the real shit is next year also in south africa
i think this cup was a publicity stunt by the FIFA to get all the world to see South Africa and try to get them to go next year

Isn't Spain #1 in the world? You're right though as most Americans don't care about soccer. To those who do I'd think it's a pretty big deal. Sums up the team as they play like shit for 2 games, then beat an Egypt team who almost beat Brazil and then beat Spain.

It's called football chuck, the beautiful game. It is a big deal, but only in the rest of the world so don't worry yourself. American football is gay whereas real football is a game for real men......

as you can see
Re: United States beats #1Spain in Federation Cup
Spain losing to the US would be equivalent to the patriots losing the the lions. Ok that is taking it pretty far, lets say the pats losing to the raiders. pretty big upset. Spain has not allowed a goal in 495 minutes which is outstanding.
its a shame, i wish it was big in the US. as a kid I was able to see Pele play when he played for the cosmos and for about 5 to 8 years it was a big sport in the US.
whats funny, is i went on the bbc main page and it was one there. So yes, it is a big deal to the rest of the world like bobjuice said.
Re: United States beats #1Spain in Federation Cup
damn.........damn.........damn................ jesus how......... i was expecting brasil vs spain

american football is gay compared to australian football but still better than soccer...lol.
Re: United States beats #1Spain in Federation Cup
Congrats to our American squad for putting together 90 minutes of good football. If am not mistaken had Spain won they would have set the world record for consecutive wins at 36!
At least this is a good sign that our US squad might not get bounced from the World Cup quite as quickly as US football fans were beginning to think.
Hopefully Brazil wins today so we can have a big final in this particular tourney...

Thats exactly what it is but FIFA needed to see crowd participation, security measures in place etc etc for any major event taking place in South Africa. Looks like we did ok!
