This story is so ridiculous...it must be nice to be rich and be able to buy freedom in the face of murdering someone while driving intoxicated. What a shame :(

the guy was remorseful. he stopped and waited for the police. he didnt flee the scene. he admited fault even though the guy he hit was jay walking. I am not saying drinking and driving is ok, but the guy is giving up his entire career, life and everything to do the right thing. Shit, all of us have been in his shoes where we were driving home after drinking a bit. the difference between us an him is he had a guy run across the strret in front of him.
as for justice and money, what would his family gain if he was sent to prison for 10yrs? moeny at least compensates for something. neither of the 2 options will replace the lose of life, but money IMO is better than justice in this case.

speciale---are you seriously backing dante stallworth in this situation? a VERY close friend of mine was sentenced to 12 years in jail with no parole FOR SELLING GRASS and you are going to back Dante Stallworth? you have got to be fucking kidding me!
MURDER IS MURDER...you deserve hard butt raping time for this offense, not probation, not community service, not a permanently suspensed license...
Would you feel the same if it was your girlfriend walking across the street? Any humane being would pull over and admit to the police what you had just done. You don't get a medal and a pat on the back for being honest with the cops...
