Awesome! The French Open got a whole lot interesting after Federer's win over Nadal in Madrid over the weekend... on clay nonetheless. Granted it was a lesser tournament, since tennis prominence is only staked with the majors, and that Nadal was way less than 100% physically, it at least gives Federer some glimmer of hope this year at the French after the shellacking he took in last year's final.

Still, advantage Nadal for the French Open.

good for federer. i hope he finally wins the french. it is the one tournament that has eluded him, same as sampras. it would cement him as best ever if he wins... and i hope he does. i still don't like nadal and his butt picking madness.

soderling is absolutely treeing right now... he's playing way above his normal level. i think federer is going to have his hands full sunday. it would be nice to see roger finally win the french open and at the same time tie sampras for most grand slam titles ever. i don't think he's had a better opportunity to win the french than now. they both had long matches so we'll see if fatigue comes into play. can't wait!

am i the only one who doesn't like federer? i don't know why, something about him just rubs me the wrong way...

i was pissed when nadal lost, really a big fan. i was so happy when he beat federer at wimbledon

federer is really emotional when he's losing and a gracious winner, imo. never really talked bad about anyone either. i guess that's why i like him. for some reason nadal has always rubbed me the wrong way, so i guess we're splitting hairs. :)
