Farve - Un-retirement Part 8?!?!

Hmm... when will he ever stay retired?

Latest rumors have him as the next quarterback of the Vikings so that he can get two more cracks at revenging the Packers. Love the guy before, but he is starting to get irritating with this whole woe is me stance.

Me thinks he's already past his best before date.

Re: Farve - Un-retirement Part 8?!?!

He's not coming back, no way.

He would have stayed with the Jets if he was intending on playing. Just rumors from sportscasters with nothing better to talk about in the off season.

Re: Farve - Un-retirement Part 8?!?!

I'm a Favre fan and a Jets fan, so the 1st half of last year was great, then Bretts arm was a factor and we got to see him age right in front of us. He is a legend, but I think it was and is his time to hang it up...

I love Favre, but I really hope there's nothing to this. That needless drama last year was a big turn off.

Re: Farve - Un-retirement Part 8?!?!

it is pretty nutz how he has handled it...but i cant fault they guy for wanting to continue playing can you?? look at jonny unitas or joe montana with KC...they went on probably too long also. the legends find it hard to retire.

and Michael Jordan with the Bulls part 2 and Wizards.

i am a huge farve fan but there comes a time when u just gotta let it lie... i have always been a huge Vikings fan so this would be good for them... maybe.

im with steve

i love brett, my childhood hero after mattingly. but this nly hurts his legacy and view. he is and forever will be brett favre, number 8 for the packers, and this last attempt at a paycheck only hurts him.

It's not necessarily for the paycheck... Indications are he wants "revenge" on the Packers over how they showed him the door last year. However all this posturing by Favre over feeling slighted does absolutely no good for his legacy. I still can't believe he's pursuing all this bad will towards the team that made him a legend and his fortunes :x

Re: Farve - Un-retirement Part 8?!?!

Montana with KC still took them to the playoffs, Jordan with the bulls the second time won 3 more rings.. granted with the wizards it was too much.. but its more the way favre handling it, like he's bigger than the game and the teams he is messing with.. his last play should have been that interception in the nfc championship, where tbh he acted like he couldnt be bothered to be there
