Bar?a vs Real Madrid

The spanish derby. Saturday, 21:00 GMT.

If both teams could lose, that's what I would want to happend tomorrow. Real Madrid is just a bunch of pussys (oh, I'm sorry... uhhh, football stars) except Samuel, of course :P And Barcelona lost all my affection after the way they treated Riquelme and Saviola.

I'm watching it anyways, I'm sure the catalanes will pull something when Figo goes to kick a corner (like the last game at the Camp Nou, when they threw a pig's head to the field) or some basque will cross the field with the Ikurri?a and a bunch of security guards running behind him.

We'll see...

#304581Post 3 of 29

O.M.G. I feel the same. They were so shitty to both of them it made me give up on them until they get a coach that doesn't seem to hate South Americans. Saviola is a great player, although he played for river. Riquelme was treated even worse. Love the city, no longer a fan of their team.

#304589Post 5 of 29

So you are from Argentina maybe, that's why you reclaim about that, but Riquelme doesn't match in that team, that was the true, but Saviola, he's a very good player, he could stay in Barcelona.

#304591Post 6 of 29

Well, you're right about him not matching the team. Thing is, he played in Boca Juniors as number 10, and Van Gaal used him almost as a number 5, he used to say that Riquelme's job was to recover the ball and pass it. Why do you buy a player that plays in attack, kicks free throws, a player that is the central piece of your attack, the 'creator' of plays, and put him on the middle of the field to try and play some defense? and the guy sucked it up and even tried to play like that.

That's just plain stupid. The same thing happened to him on the national team with the previous manager (he was the star player on this week's match against Venezuela, playing as number 10, of course,).

Saviola was even worse, player with most goals on the team, and they wanted to force him to renegotiate his contract to almost half the money he was getting. And now that I remember, goalkeeper Bonano left Bar?a with bad blood too. Thing is, the crowd still loves Riquelme and Saviola, it's the stupid managment that creates those situations.

EDIT Real Madrid 0 - 3 Barcelona

Merengues really suck! They were a great team almost 5 years ago... they were enormous, until Boca Juniors beat them!

Still hurts, Madrid, huh?

barca are far better equipped than real. they have a team, whereas real have a collective of playboys.

They want to make a Hollywood movie with some of their players, they are trying to pull out a way to let Beckham and some others act while they don't miss any match; also, they are talking about how much money they will earn.

That says it all... they are not a team, they are a film crew.

#304764Post 17 of 29

Madrid are all about business off the pitch and not on it...

#304771Post 18 of 29

I feel sorry about FIGO, he's the best player on real madrid, I hope that him can get out of there and get some new life.. maybe man utd

You could put that portuguese pride aside... Figo sucked ass in the last 2 years at real. Now that they finally decide to get rid of him he suddenly started to play football.. i think this season is by far his best at the team in the last 3 years. What does the threat of firing to some people... :P

#304940Post 20 of 29

Barca-Real:3-0 :P hahahahaaa Shit Real,i hate Real Madrid, and Beckham!!!! :Naughty:

dont be foolish man, everyone here knows that figo is the best player playing o n that team that people usually call "galactics" who? u're trying to say that figo is playing good football just cuz real madrid want to send him away? did u see the last seasons of real madrid? i think u didnt though, Figo was elected the best world player in 2002 and it that year Figo was playing where? can you remember, try to recall that fact! And if you're playing in a team that are full of football stars but any of them give their best to the team.. would u feel like you've to play alone? without casillas, figo and owen real madrid was even worst! poor galactics

As I watched an hungry Equador team run circles around Brazil's lazy fatcat stars, whose best effort was to clutch and grab with referee obviously deferring to them (missed an obvious penalty call, among many others, clearly favoring da' stars), I thought of Real and it's collection of stars that don't make for a team (they don't play together, each tugging his own way). Brazil was a different team because it was playing as team with a younger lineup (Adriano and the rest). Real needs to stop this idiotic galactioco shit and get back to the olden ways that kept its players focused on the team concept.

Real fucke it up when they let Makelele go.

If they had hired Vieira this year (and a decent central to play with Samuel), I bet they would be unbeatable now.

But... they didn't

I agree, but not quite - I actually follow Chelsea in Premier League and Makalele has been nothing short of solid for them. And there are morons for think that Makalele should have been replaced by a "me first", higher profile player at his position - when Makalele does everything that is needed so the team is humming along, rather than try to make the one head-turning play and making 10 mistakes before and after just to show that he is da shit. Real needs to get rid of a few Galactico types and need to find new (and then hang on to) Makaleles to get back to the top. Viera is arguably best in the world at his position, but I am not sure that getting him will solve Real's problems - it may in fact make them worse, as Viera will probably not play to his potential as many Galacticos have done before him. Maybe it's the constant pressure to stay in the starting lineup that causes them to play like they've been - individually, rather than a team?

Well done Barca

Whatever dude.... Figo really was useless these last few years.. .all he does is trying to dribble, then falls beggin for a free kick or a penalty... tries to center the ball... manages to do it a few times a mathc. Don't get me wrong... i think he is a great player, it's just that he never quite fitted that team... like Zidane did. Now that was a player that really ruled on pitch.

#305687Post 29 of 29

figo is old man, he still plays good football but he is far from what he used to play in his early years the problem with real is that they have all this stars lined up who are not always in top form but they have to play cause they sell image and bring the club a lot of money they are all great players but if you dont play well, you sould let others play (ex.morientes)
