I am very excited. Portland has been beating some contending teams. They may be the x-factor this year. Can not wait. :!:

i certainly hope so :)

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

They can definitely give the Lakers fits, who seem to be the team to beat.

playoff time baby. go go go!

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

My Celtics are limping into the playoffs, didn't exactly shine in Cleveland yesterday. And the Bulls always play them tough so first round is no gimmie.

Cheering for the Rockets here!

Just look at what they did after McGrady closed shop with his injury. If the Rockets get past the first round, McGrady's image as a first round choker will forever be cemented.

my poor Pistons are fucked unless they can pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Garrick, glad to hear someone on [ms] also cheering for the Rockets. I used to live in Houston and followed them since I was 6 or 7 years old. The best times were of course those B2B championship runs.

They're well on there way this year with a commanding win in Game 1 against Portland.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

I love the hornets, but they are in some serious trouble playing denver in the first round. NO seems to fall apart during some games and that shit won't cut it in the playoffs. I hope they step it up. Chandler will be back and we have a much better game with him on board and Chris Paul is the fucking man and in my opinion MVP, win or loose.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

Celtics and Bulls played an amazing game last night. Ben Gordon was unstoppable.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

between him & Allen it was UConn redux...but Allen got the last shot

I'm for the rockets as well. I have been there for the B2B championship.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

is anyone else annoyed at the number of jagoffs already talking like it's a forgone conclusion that it is going to be LA v Cleveland in the finals?

for that reason alone i hope one or both of those teams dont make it, lol

D Howard needs to watch his elbows, clumsy son of a bitch got suspended and took out one of his own players, lol

i really doubt both Cleveland and LA will make the finals.. LA, though they won in 5, looked very beatable in two of those games that they won, that series could easily be 3-2 the other way

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^f*ck! I wonder what was said or done to provoke howard...well done philly, you've pretty much got game 6 in the bag.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

What a great series between the Celtics & the Bulls. 3 out of 5 games have gone to OT so far. Can anyone on the Celtics stop Ben Gordon?? He's been unstoppable. I went to last nights game. The Celtics seemed to be sluggish & out of it for most of the game.Thought they weren't gonna pull it out but they did.Pierce almost blew it again for the Celtics but managed to come through in the clutch.

#1208931Post 23 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

Finally my Nugs have made it past the first round in the playoffs holy hell. I'm sure we can take Dallas as well... Billups FTMFW!

#1209136Post 24 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

I thought Rondo should have received a game for that foul on Miller at the end of Game 5... he did not play the ball... at least a flagarant, I hope someone lays him out tonight...

Go Bulls!I cant stand watching the Celtics and Paul Pierce anymore... although he gets it done in the clutch a lot of the time I just cant stand his game...

But really, although this series is dynamite, the Cavs and Lakers look rested and poised to meet one another in the Finals... I hope the Nuggets can give the Lakers a run... maybe ATL can give the Cavs a run because I dont see anyone athletic enough to beat the Cavs in a 7 game series in the East...

Cheers

:Cheerz:

UP BY 20, what an embarresment for philadelphia fans, especially given that Orlando's 2 leading players are not in the game.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^wow triple overtime, what a game! Game 7 is going to be excellent! Pretty sure the magic would take the bulls if they end up beating the celtics, what do u think?

LOL, Kobe will dominate artest again! and fuck abbatier!. Laekrs take houstin in 5 too!

only problem i see is Bynum being reliable vs Yao! but aht's it!

#1209682Post 30 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

Good to see the Rockets get past the first round (it only took them 12 years!)

Those two remaining Eastern Conference series going to game 7's couldn't be any polar opposites: the Celtics-Bulls have been close, compelling games (the only first round series that featured any overtime games, let alone 4 games - two with 1OT, one with 2OT & one with 3OT) while the Hawks-Heat have all been blowouts!

#1209693Post 31 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

celtics will win at home i think.

hawks will also win at home (i hope!)...

would the hawks play the celtics again if they both win? would love to see that rematch after last year! that series was phenominal a year ago. without KG, i'd almost say atlanta would have a chance given they get thru d wade on sunday.

#1209871Post 32 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

I'm seriously rooting for anyone to beat LA and Cleveland, jsut because I want all the braodcasters and "experts" to be wrong

I really hope Chicago pulls of a game 7 win against Boston, but either way we can bet KG's fuckin grill will be all over the telly no matter what, lol

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

it was a good year Portland. They accomplished a lot for 2008-2009 year. Houston was our worst match up for the series. For such a young team, you can see the potential. Congrats to Houston for a very emotional series. I wish we brought it to 7, but the bigger heart won that day.
