what can i say. so far i am so pleased with what i am seeing. Cardinals beating the heavily favored panthers. and eagles beating the defending superbowl champ giant....and not to forget the ravens beting the titans...

just love all these underdogs winning....i am hoping for cardinals vs san diego for the sb.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Yes the upsets have been a very nice surprise this year. I can't believe the Cardinals came out and just blew the Panthers away with their high-powered offense...very impressive.

As for today I thought the Eagles-Giants game was great hard-nosed football in less than perfect cold and windy conditions. The Eagles look primed to go all the way imo.

As for the bit right now I am rooting for the Chargers to knock off the Steelers but am not getting my hopes up. Heinz Field is a tough place to go into in the middle of winter and beat the home team. Also no home team has won a game this weekend so I think Pitt will get it done this afternoon...

interesting all around.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Steelers vs Cardinals in the Superbowl would be pretty damn interesting given that Wisenhut left the Steelers for the Cardinals.

AFC game is going to be the game of the year, IMO. Not much scoring but a very hard fought game.

Eagles are probably going to own AZ again.

Re: NFL Playoffs

SD defense needs work, and I still don't like Norv. Pittsburgh came out slamming the SD D with nice offensive rushing. It was actually nice to see Ward vs. Sproles. I wanted to chuck something at the tv everytime i saw Heinz smiling while running with the ball. Then I got my smile when Sproles burned right through the secondary to score the last td for SD.

Re: NFL Playoffs

imagine if the eagles win... two championships for philly within one year and their fans will still probably boo. :)

Re: NFL Playoffs

the eagles will win, and during the parade, someone will throw a bottle at santa claus.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Has there ever been a SB with two teams from the same State?

#1148739Post 12 of 33

Re: NFL Playoffs

Yep twice. Bills v. Giants. Scott Norwood, wide right!!! and when niners spanked the chargers in the 90s.

spot on. i use to think miami had the worst fans, but after many trips to philly, they are truly the worst. I hope the cards beat them.

imagine if the cards win. i think it would give hope to most teams and shows there is no dominate team anymore. just like last year. We all thought the pats would win, but what a game for the giants. its great to see new teams in the final 4.

Agree with Jenks. Games @ Arizona where Cards are obviously a different team. Can't believe I'm saying this but Arizona Cardinals are going to the Super Bowl. I also think a pig just flew by my window! lol

Re: NFL Playoffs

glad to see the Giants get knocked out...Eli played like Eli "usually" does...

but now let's get the Cardinals into the SB. You think the 1st round game was nuts...can't even imagine what Title tickets are going for...

Re: NFL Playoffs

Hell F*Ckin Yeah....Cardinals in the Super Bowl....

So happy for Kurt Warner...he deserves it.

Re: NFL Playoffs

^^ +1 chuckster, super happy for Kurt and Edge, I'd love to see them take it all

Re: NFL Playoffs

wow, i don't know what to say. Totally underestimated the cards or is it perhaps their O drives are long enough to eat up the clock? I mean, honestly, the Cards D isn't all that great. I guess we'll see what happens tonight with Ravs and Shitlers.

#1150588Post 25 of 33

Re: NFL Playoffs

although i'm happy to see different teams in the playoffs to this point, i am totally uninterested in these playoffs. for all the fans of the teams still in it, its gotta be pretty exciting though. more power to ya.about time we get the announcers talking about someone other than the cowboys, giants and the patriots.

Re: NFL Playoffs

I was pretty ambivalent about the playoffs this year, but now that we have the Superbowl teams decided, I'm really pulling for the Cardinals. I've still got a soft spot for Warner, I think, being from St. Louis and all. Would be a great story to see him come back and do it again.

cardinals will also beat the steelers.

Re: NFL Playoffs

should be a great game for sure.

the cards offense vs the best D in the game right now.

and a slightly sub par offense of pitt vs the suddenly above average D of cards

gonna be fun to watch the cards tearing it up on the warm turf too. this fitzgerald guy is fugging great

Re: NFL Playoffs

man, did you see, and hear, some of the hits in that steeler ravens game??? that was one of the hardest hitting games i've seen in awhile. awesome.

yea this one was agg... hurt to watch it.

back when i played, i actually fucked my neck up pulling a open-field hit like that once. thankful it wasn't severe, but it was great shock treatment. mine was more of a spearing with my head driven downward. i'll never forget my coach chewing me out on how stupid and dangerous it is to do that.

if they Ravens hadn't fucked up so much towards the end, they could have won i think. i pulled hard for the Steelers when Bettis retired, but i'll be pulling for the Cards this time around.

Sweed's block, that is -- the other hit is the same one shown above.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Cardinals are going to learn just like the Ravens did that there is no stopping the wrecking ball called the STEELERS!!!!

Steelers win 24-6 or 24-10 and it will be over in the first half 17-3
