i am not from new york, nor i have i ever been a fan of the Jets B4....but i am a huge fan of Favre and I love that he and the jets are tops in the divison with a respectable 7-3 record while the pack is under 500 at 4-5

There idiots for not taking him back. so what if he changes his mind.

go jets. i hope they can keep it up and at least make the playoffs.

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

Brett Favre is a dilapidated cunt!

edit: and Ben Watson is a twat for fumbling that ball. Hats off to Matt Cassel for playing a HELL OF A GAME!

I don't show my ignorance I show my anger at the game. Plus I have never liked Favre anyway, he did however play an error free game and that is all the Jets could hope for.

And a big N.O. to the cheating but that is for another discussion.

HOLY FUCK Jerod Mayo is definitely the defensive rookie of the year so far...he has insane intensity like I have never seen.

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

I grew up just outside of Green Bay and was a loyal Favre fan...but his legacy has been blown in that city now...but I don't wish I'll will to the Jets either, hope they can hit the playoffs as well.

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

[sour grapes]

We had 3 of our 4 leading defensive players out, two of our starting O Linemen either out or playing with a busted wheel, a special teams unit that is in tatters due to injuries, mental errors all over the place, we bascially handed the 3rd quarter to the Jets who were apparently just as opposed to scoring as we were, abandoned the hurry-up which was the only thing negating the NY's sick pass rush, abandoned the dime package which was the only thing that actually applied pressure to Farve and it STILL took a bullshit holding call on Vrable on 3 and long and OT for the Jets to pull out a win.

All this talk in on ESPN about the Jets getting the "monkey off their back". Please.

Enjoy being in first place for the next 10 days. After Tennessee cleans you out next week we'll be tied once again.

[/sour grapes]

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

lol. umm i do remember a certain QB we had being out for a few years. comon. you play with what ya have.

favre played essentially a flawless game, never got to be "favre gunslinger" but the fastball was there. he threw long short and in between well.

keller dropped twp TDs as well.

the jets defense yet again showed its weakness. the space between the line (number 3 run defense in league) and the safeties (last night was first game without two interceptions).

they are vulnerable to the dink and dunk as thier linebackers are geared to the run and not coverage.

great game. shouldnt have been that close. 18 unanswered (right after my kiss of death cousin texted us that they would win, DICK).

Absolutely right. The injury gods are making up for the nearly 7 years of health we've been blessed with. At this point Randy Moss could snap his leg getting out of the shower and I would not be the least bit surprised.

'01? They finished 4th in the AFC East.

Jets went 10-6 that year and beat the Raiders to get the wild card in the last game (only to lose the following week to them). They held first place briefly...and haven't since until now ;)

meanwhile Tennessee's a quiet 10-0...

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

LOL, could be the Dolphins and Jets for the AFC East , hahahahahahahahahaha, pretty sad thought

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

tennessee is a nasty nasty team. reminisent of the steelers back in the day. not great in any one area, but get the job done in all offensive manners, and play downright great defense.

i cant beleive how collins is finding a second wind as a passer lately, he is just getting it done whenever needed. nothing flashy like manning, but just doing it. thier run game is as good as its gets, and oddly enough, they win.

#1122832Post 19 of 31

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

your other 2nd winder?

Kurt Warner

Cardinals are 7-3. 7-3!

#1122833Post 20 of 31

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

and kurt warner could very well be the MVP. and if that happens, i think he has to be put in the hall of fame.

i agree....warner is tearing it up. he really is a top notch qb, never gets respect though.

#1122843Post 22 of 31

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

he may end this year with super bowl MVP 2 rings 3 nfl mvps

#1123043Post 23 of 31

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

and that's HOF material no question. May not happen right away depending on other nominees, but he'll get in...

If the Cardinals win the SB I'm crying foul. Phillies win the WS, Cetics take the NBA...what's next, Calgary wins the Stanley Cup?

#1124175Post 24 of 31

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

what do all you favre haters have to say now? just beat the only undefeated team in the league in there house.....impressive.

Enjoy it Sean. Your squad's playing some great football. I really thought the Jet's were gonna win. Tennesee can't throw the ball and you sure as hell ain't gonna run up the gut against the Jet's D-line.

right now they sit as a #3 seed.

Good enough for a Wild Card 1st round choke

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

LOL lets see, the jets beat the partriots at there house and they beat the titans at there house.....who else in the AFC is worth a damn?

favre brings it up a notch in the playoffs...how u packers fans feel now running him outta town....

#1124880Post 30 of 31

Re: J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!

god, its tuesday and im still not grasping the concept that we beat the pats and the titans.

i knew we were good, but how good was the question. ask any true jets fan and we say "first round playoff loss and another shitty draft pick"

the big thing i am having a hard time dealing with is HOW we beat the titans. we dismantled them. up and down. we looked like a different team. favre is playing brilliantly, and is balancing the gunslinger part of his game with the managment game the coordinators always wanted him to do. he isnt playing butch cassidy. he is playing assassin.

keller's rise to an above average receiver is something to watch, as he seems to be the thrid down king of the east, and to quote peter king, "everytime leon washington touches the ball, i move forward in my seat" with him, and thomas jones playing banger, and the receiving corp 4, i think we can finally show up in big games. winning them, ill wait and see. but now i feel like we can make it a game
