Its too bad they couldnt get it back to the trop. The stress seemed to get to them...Normally Rocco would have made that catch in the oufield and Aki would have made the overhead catch....and would never had made those two errors he had in that other game.

It didnt help that the umpires had a strike zone for the rays and a seperate strike zone for the phillies. They obviusly wanted the series to end and the phillies to win (ie the check swing called strike by hinske or kaz's special strike zone, . Its a shame the game cant be called fairly

true, but there was also the mystery check swing strike/walk given to the Rays.. bad officiating all around imo.. both teams had to overcome adversity and Philadelphia won, end of :) and Kazmir better get on the good side of the umps for next season, right or wrong they clearly held a grudge against him.

my only real gripe is the 2-3-2 set up.. it really gives the home field advantage to the team with 3 games in a row at home.. 2-2-1-1-1 seems a more fair set up. I mean in a 7 game series, if you are playing a game 5 thats a HUGE game and the team the EARNED the home field advantage gets screwed.. in the case of this series game 5 would have been at the Trop and wouldnt have taken 3 days to play which would have counter acted the debacle of game 4 starting after 10pm and ending at 2am

Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt that the old set up? ....Rays kind of got screwed on the 2-3-2 deal

maybe they eliminated it becuase of the extra traveling...and time

oh well..hope they can get back to that point again...we all know the yanks/sox will spend even more money now that the rays took them out...

wouldnt doubt it if the yanks or sox pick up sabathia....

its always been 2-3-2 someone brought that up on the radio a few weeks back and they looked at previous WS' and it was all 2-3-2 , I guess for travel reasons which only really matters if the two teams playing are on opposite coasts
