this year yet again, proves the cubs are the cubs, the mets are the mets, torre is torre, etc. NL baseball beyond LA should just be shut down.

no, but for the game itself, a cubs/redsox series would have been utterly fantastic. chicago is a baseball haven, and even if it came down to cubs/whisox, it would have been fantastic. the story lines involved from every angle. pinella would have NY rooting for him, as he is a former yank, lee is one of the classiest players in the league, a gold glover, batting champ, power hitter, etc. aramis is underrated. the big 3 pitchers for them on a huge strage.. etce etc.
just wanted them to go for baseball itself. and even without the yankees playing, i havent missed a agame yet. i love this game more than anything, and want it to expose football for what the NFL is. a large group of selfish, criminals, in an overhyped game that gives you 2 days a week of predictable games, and im a jets season tix holder! baseball just gives you so much more. more games, more drama, more ups and downs, and thier classy guys exemplify what athletes should be.

i think this year i'm cutting my ties with the cubbies. i've followed them too long, and i've always been left wanting.
someone pm me when jesus returns. only then will i think the cubs have a shot at winning a world series.
