as a jets fan, i can kinda be happy here, although i will never cheer someone who gets hurt... but owow, i woke up today in normal jets futility like the last 23 years... right now, we might be the best team in the division.........

while i hope he sits for awhile, im conflicted... im objective enough to enjoy and admire what the pats do day in and dayt out.... i dont want anyone to win by default, the NFL needs tom brady as he is the team first superstaer unlike some of his fellow players like tiki barber, owens, etc etc.

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

I have to admit with the loss of Brady this levels the field of play.I guess the Pats are gonna look at Chris Simms tomorrow at Gilette.god I hope its not that bad.Why they are looking at Simms I dont know why ??Cassel did a pretty good job in the absence of Brady.I just dont think he can lead the pats when it comes to the likes of the Jets,Indy,San Diego, etc etc.Im not too sure On Simms being the proper fit either. Is Culpepper still retired??man the Pats are Fuct.lol

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

happpy trails to youuu until, we meet, again....

good qb for a shady team. i'll be watching the stands for brady and his handicam

edit; it's going to be really interesting to see how this affects individuals across the league and on the patriots. what i mean is, it looks like Brady is gone, now with Young, and now talk of culpepper going to the Pats.... (all this in a matter of hours today!)

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

it makes the divion interesting nonetheless,...... the bills and jets are both good teams that look better right now...

but.... knowing bill bellichcek... brady is fine and will start next weekß

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

well the ACL tear is confirmed now. How long does it take to patch up...and better...rehab back to competition level?

I know bellechick is like the prince of darkness on the injury reports...but a tear is a tear....

#1077657Post 6 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

Not totally confirmed just yet - he goes for his MRI later this morning - but those in the know are all saying the same thing: definite ACL, possible MCL, and there's a chance there is some extensive damage to the surrounding tissue as well.....

:Barf:

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

^fair enough.

if any team had this coming, it's the pats. enjoy your mediocre season.

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

Clean hit. Shitty footing karma. Hope Tom makes a full recovery... Knee injuries are a bitch and a half. Bill Belichick is the weakest sport there is. /end opinion
enjoy your mediocre season.
That is highly debatable because Brady is not the only damn good player on the team, now if this happened 2 or 3 years ago I might have to agree with you but they have a solid attack (passing, running and defense).

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

Look, I never said the Patriots would not miss him what I said is that they still have alot of good players and will by no means have a mediocre season.
Not winning the Super Bowl is mediocre.
^this.

btw nigel, billicheat, in his way, pretty much came out and said it was a dirty hit. so it wasn't just moss.

btw, anyone hear Curt Shilling open his big mouth again? man, talk about a guy that needs to walk into on coming traffic.

#1078390Post 23 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

I didn't hear Belicheck say that.

Curt the player is awesome, Curt the person does need to just STFU!

#1078395Post 24 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

I've despised Tom Brady for many years and begrudgingly picked him up with the 8th overall pick in my dynasty fantasy draft, effectively binding the hopes of my team to him this year, and in the years to follow. This injury provides yet another reason to hate Tom Brady.

#1078727Post 25 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

I think the Pats will still make it to the playoffs.Matt Cassel is in the perfect situation for a guy like him coming off the bench. Its not like he's coming off the bench in Oakland or Detroit. He's got a great core of recievers.not to mention a pretty decent rb core.As well as a solid offensive line.

#1082415Post 26 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

damn. yesterday they are saying he tore both the MCL and ACL. the picture of his injury reminded of me the thiesman/LT hit. knees are ot intended to bend that way.

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

The people who created that shirt are a bunch of fucking cunts and just plain classless.

The site is a Steeler fan site and what sweet redemption it would be if the Pats beat the Steelers this year.

Patriots and Class don't really go together either Nigel.

:wanna fi:

I have to humbly disagree.

#1082848Post 31 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

Of course, you're a Pats fan, and while that's certainly par for the course for anyone supporting your team, the fact remains, the Pats are a bunch of classless assholes and it starts at Bellicheat. It's the reason everyone outside of NE is buying that TShirt like crazy. When the Steelers of the 70s won 4 superbowls, nobody called them classless and hated their guts, because Art Rooney is the definition of class, and that filtered down to the rest of the team. People hated the 49ers when Montana was at the helm because you couldn't beat those guys, but they had a lot of respect for Bill Walsh and what he put together. When LT broke Montana's back, there was a collective sigh of relief around the league because it gave everyone else a chance to win that year, but nobody cheered and made T Shirts. The Pats suck, and it starts at the coach. You calling the guys that made that tshirt a bunch of cunts (i'll agree it's classless) is being pretty hypocritical. ;)

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

IMO, Everyone doesn't like the Pats because Belichick doesn't give the press any info on their game plan and the like which the press HATES and they, namely ESPN but just about all of them, despise him and they play that to the rest of the country which over the years has turned everyone against them.

You can call him Belicheat all you want but none of the other owners or GMs, even Bill Polian who wants nothing more than to hurt the Pats, gave a big stink about the 'spy gate' situation because, IMO, everyone was doing it to some extent. That is the only reason why you could call him Belicheat, as much as you may hate him.

You should not call the players classless just because of their coach because they work their ass off.

Aside from the hate brought down on Belichick I believe that any group of fans would welcome him as their coach, he is a football genius and that can not denied.

#1083009Post 33 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

nigel buddy. sometimes people need to be told something from a different point of view...

the patriots havent had any class since parcells left. bellicheck is an asshole plain and simple, yes a great coach, even without the cheating, but an asshole. and trust me, living down the street here in NY, i admire thier franchise and his coachiong ability. i love his attitude towards primadonnas. his motto is great "if you dont want to be on this team for the money we gave you, i'll find someone else to do the job. and he does. his system is so good that anyone can fill the roles he assigns. i loved him even more after the peyton manning nonsense and rules changes becuase pussy peyton (who is the biggest douchebag in the NFL by far , including ocho, beelichec and TO) couldnt deal with his recivers havinbg to actually play football instead of running track and catching.

but comon. he is an asshole. the shit with parcells, dungy, mangini. how he treated bledsoe as a person afterwards, how he deals with the media, charlie weiss etc. the guy is a cunt. plain and simple, but a cunt who can sure as hell coach the game, no denying that.

by the way, i am wearing that shirt to the game on sunday.

#1083024Post 35 of 43

Re: Bye Bye Tom Brady

thesightless I understand that people don't like him and personally I don't care because he has helped bring us 3 rings. Be that as it may I also don't think that he was an ass to all of those guys.

My main point is that the team as a whole are not a bunch of assholes, especially Brady. As much as you may hate the coach don't hate on the players unless they deserve it, which most, if not all, don't.

WE (HEART) BRETT, for not doing shit!!!

Cassell looked pretty good for his first start, could obviously be better but it ended in a win so we will take it.
