i don't want the cubs to win for obvious reasons, but they're the strongest team in baseball no doubt.
everyone says the angles, but they play in a ridiculously weak division.
the cubs 63 wins in the central > the angles 66 wins.
they stopped the brew crew in their tracks, cc and sheets.
sucks. if the cards had a dominant closer this year we'd be there. we've lost SOOOO many games by one run in the 10th. our bullpen has blown it numerous times. assholes.

well.... outside opinion here
your bullpen's biggest problem isnt a pitcher. its tony larussa. he over manages SO MUCH. i know it may be hard to admit/see it as a hometown fan as you are, but larussa hurts his pen a ton with the non stop mix and match nonsense he does. he never stares a reliver in the face and says "your inning", more along the lines of "your batter" and he does it non stop. look at your bullpen appearances average, its up there with joe torre's yankees of the last few years. over managed, overplayed, defeated psychologically before they start.

I freaking can't stand the yankees!! But I gotta say this about them, they picked up some key people for next to nothing! The X-man, and now Pudge in that line up? I think he'll make a difference definately!:evil:
