fresno state a team from no where, 107th in hitting and 62nd in pitching as of the start of the game, went up against big old eorgia, ranked 8 in the country this year. and took em down. in comeback fashion. in such an incredibel run i cant wait for it to come out on DVD<
these cats, unranked all year, play in the WAC league, and win thier conference tourney. ok, they get a bid to the playoffs (similar to march madness).
they go in as the last last ni the seeding and take down everything in thier path to make it to the championship. to face georgia.
thier cinderalla story was already told when they walked onto the feild in game 1 of 3, they had the hype, the punchlines for the fans from media. people were ulling for em, but with thier ranking, what could you ask for really? five it a run, take game 1 and then have GA win it?
game 1...... fresno state stakes the early lead. in the end they took a 6 run lead into the 8th inning and lost it in relief but give GA the credit they played ice cold all game. and ended p beating fresno 7-6. (right here i said "(*&%..; woulda loved to see them put up a fight). they were beaten. they looked dead.
game 2. 19 runs scored. detweiler has a mantle type game. they win 19-10. offensive show by all.
game 3,
detweiler again. and again. wow, he got hot. their pitching staff looked like exactly like what they were. a group of guys out of nowhere, playing for thier lives. they hold GA to 1 run for the game, while the team aided detwiler in putting up 6 runs over 9 innings.
and becoming the lowe\st ranked team ever to win any NCAA championship in any sport. the lowest seeded team to make it to the final series. the lowest seeded team to WIN the series.
cinderella, you have arrived at the ball and are walking into history.

this is one fo the best stories i have ever seen. and i got to watch a lot of it. its up there with the autistic kid who dropped 6 3 pointers in the end of the game.
