Just curious to see everyone's take on the situation... obviously it has engulfed some people's thoughts (ahem, UGA president). I was for keeping it the same, but I kind of like the +2 system... i fully believe that no system is going to be perfect, though. there are always critics.

Shorten the season by 2-3 games. Add the 8 game playoff. Keep each bowls intact as the playoff locations.

i think i'll go with the 8 team playoff too... i like the +2 as well, but the 8-team at least leaves room for at-large bids.

a playoff is needed, especially when there are numerous 1 loss teams, and maybe one or two undefeated.
someone will always complain, just like the 65th or whatever team in collgege basketball.
its not fair that a team loses one game early in the season and is out of the race because of that loss, unless everything falls into place and that team gets a shot again.
I think most would agree that USC, Georgia or any number of teams would have given LSU a better game than THE ohio state did.
they can still keep the bowls games in tact as they were before the Big Crappy System.
thats another thing, there are WAY too may bowl games. when teams that are barely above .500 or at .500 are in bowl games, its a bit ridiculous

I've worked it all out in my head that Mizzou is the current national champion.
Oklahoma lost their bowl game, they're out. Kansas won their bowl game, but we beat Kansas. LSU beat Ohio State, but lost to Arkansas, and we beat Arkansas in our bowl game heavy handedly.
Mizzou = National Champ. :)
