its relatiely straightforward:

Cricket: As explained to a foreigner... You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.

Re: Anyone on here a fan of cricket??

its a great game to watch, and play.

had the chance to go to lords today for day 3 of England vs. W.Indies but had to work this morning and wanted to watch the FA Cup final this afternoon (which so far, is VERY VERY BORING)

My local team have made it to the UK village cricket finals 3 times in the last five years, great to see some local friends playing at lords!

Re: Anyone on here a fan of cricket??

it's boring... and to make it even more boring, Australia are in a league of their own. All the other teams (especially England) are shit house.

Re: Anyone on here a fan of cricket??

Crickets far from boring, I?m an absolute sports nut and nothing engages me more than putting aside 6 hours across 4 to 5 days to watch the endless sequence of ball on to bat and all the nuances in between! :D Seriously!

Admittedly Australia are in a league of their own, however the next 5 ? 10 years could bring a Renaissance in terms of even competition, with Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath retiring theres only so many times you can bowl out the opposition for 75 per cent less than what you?ve scored!
