[b]Paul Oakenfold threatens to sue Rod over football stunt [/b]

Rod Stewart kicked a football off the stage - and reportedly hit the father-in-law of top DJ Paul Oakenfold. Vincenzo Costa, 61, was hit on the side of the head as he left Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl, says The Sun. Daughter Angela said he went into convulsions on a stretcher and had to be rushed to hospital.

Now Paul is threatening to sue Rod unless the family gets an apology. He spent ?300 on tickets for Vincenzo and wife Rita, 60, during a trip to the US from their home in Gants Hill, East London. Actress Angela was waiting to pick the couple up when Rita phoned from a first aid post.

Angela said: "Dad was in an awful state. I was terrified he'd have a heart attack." Hospital doctors carried out four hours of tests before sending Vincenzo home with painkillers. A spokesman for Rod, 59, said: "We have no details of this incident but will investigate when we have."

a football can hurt if you get pegged by it... especially if the point of it hits you in the temple. and i think oakenfold is threatening to sue for medical costs, not for punitive damages.

anyhow, thats kind of funny that the two lowest forms of musicians are going at it :) i'm not sure who is worse, but i think rod stewart takes the cake.

he's gotta make some money some how, it just shows how bad you suck paul somkin poles

well... it seems a bit stupid, but if the father-in-law had a real bad reaction to it (convulsions, etc.) i'd say oakey-pokey is well within his rights to demand an apology... an unfortunate accident.

maybe they'll do a collaboration together and remix some of Rod's old hit? now that, that would be blinding!

oh, haha... i'm usually mindful between our terminology. :) guess i wasn't quite awake this morning. fuck rod stewart anyhow.. and oakenfold is still a monkey even after he gets his apology.

Surely Rod Stewart should be sent to prison (after all that that guy makes any money from his "music" is criminal).
