It seems that the special one has fallen out with his Russian sugar daddy - according to papers today they are no longer on speaking terms and only communicate through a 3rd party. Abramovich used "The Observer" newspaper to communicate that the big spending days are over - Jose, still fuming from being forced to take on Shevchenko for ?30m, and being over-ruled in buying Defoe, used yesterdays match programme notes to drum up fan pressure for yet even more signings. Jose is speaking to Real behind Chelsea's backs (just like he did with Porto) and is now odds on to jump ship (although it seems that a move to Italy may also float his boat - Inter Milan the most probable destination). I guess you reap what you sow !

I really can't see Mourinho going anywhere, this is all paper talk. If Chelsea pip Utd to the title he will stay. I also think they have a chance in the European Cup as well. It's their first real 'crisis' since he got there, and it's good to watch him squirm, but it will blow over.

The crisis increased today - as a season ticket holder I took much glee in the totally embarassing and limp performance Jose's lot offered. At least he conducted himself with dignity and that's 2 out of 2 games that he & Rafa have shaken hands on - god forbid that I may warm to the guy ! It seems that letting Gallas (without replacement) swap for Cashley Cole has hit them following injury - although the back four still cost ?64m and the bench was warmed by ?30m+ Sheva and ?24m Wright-Phillips. In the end the manager takes the blame for the depth and balance of the squad - the odds on a move to Real must be decreased by the day.

I don't really get to follow The Blue enough Simonr but what happen to the defense from last season to this past season, the games I have watched the games become a shootout or Chelsea can't keep the other club from running right into the box

Erm....I support Roman here....I'm sure he's thinking 'Well you blew 24m of my money on SWP, 16m on Mikel and 7m on Kalou, all of whom you use very sparingly. How about you earn your money for a change'

he can afford a decent CB cover... why didnt they sign Ben Haim from Bolton? he's quality...would love him at spurs
