#791300Post 122 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

Yup Saints/Bears at 3 and Pats/Colts at 6:30 - both times eastern.

Monday is going to be a rough one, I can already tell...

Re: NFL Playoffs
i hope for that as well. but what they did to the Ravens ... I was shocked. I thought the ravens were going to smash PM to death.
the Ravens had McNair not Tom Brady.. I think Brady is going to pick apart the Colts D.. Peyton will struggle because Belichek has a game plan where Peyton can't win.

#791346Post 125 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

i was refering to the ravens defense, not their offense. but i agree. gonna be good.

#791695Post 126 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

if you think about it, really the ravens d did smash manning to death, just the colts d smashed mcnair to death worse

manning and brady have both had, by their standards, shitty playoff performances so far, that just makes this all the more interesting!

Re: NFL Playoffs
I can't believe how many readers predicted the following ending of the Pats-Colts game: Vinatieri shanks the game-winning field goal, rips off his jersey to reveal a Pats jersey, then runs across to the Pats sideline and jumps into Belichick's arms as Jim Nantz screams "Noooooooooo! Noooooooooo!" and Peyton Manning breaks out the greatest Manning Face of all-time. Would I sacrifice three months of my life for this to happen? Yeah, probably.
Classic. Simmons is a must read, especially since he's a fan of all things Boston.

Re: NFL Playoffs

red sox suck.

but he is damn funny and a phoneix fan. so i give him respect.

but hte red sox do suck and schilling eats huge cock while beckett takes it up the ass. and papi sits in the back, getting fatter and fatter by the day, proving he is only a one tool player who cant do shit execpt hit home runs at every possible oppurtunity. (i can trash manny, he is the best hitter i have ever seen) varitek is a punk bitch as well.

Bad day for baseball in New Englad though, Trot's gone to the tribe...

#791946Post 133 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

hey pelo, ready to get into baseball yet?

its january, and me and sully are already arguing sox/yanks.

and the yanks had one terrible choke,, admittedly the worst in a long ass time, probably ever, but shall we break out a list of red sox chokes???

2006-- 5 game series 2005-- swept by the white sox 2000-2003-- lost every series, including regualr season, to the yanks

bucker dent ............................................shall i continue past 1978?

aside, nixon will play well witht he tribe.

Re: NFL Playoffs

1 out away, 1 strike away, best closer in baseball on the hill....biggest choke - sports history.

And I think Nixon will be serviceable in Cleveland as well, hopefully the fans appreciate him as much as we did around here. What makes this move twice as painful is that it means that now we are def. getting JD Drew - that's and extra kick in the nuts.

But WTF are we talking baseball for? We have Conference championship games in less than 48 hours - anyone else care to share thier picks?

Re: NFL Playoffs

yeah and the NFL is becoming a holiday and less sports. only 17 weeks of games sucks. not to mention not a single sports commentator has the balls to stand up to the NFL athlete, licking thier balls at every oppurtunity.

SI actually had one article where peter king said peyton had a great game last week and then another guy saying that brady had a great game...... umm what game were they watching?

im tired of the NFL and bullshit around it.

shut up play and someone actually talk about the bad things.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Pats and Saints in the Super bowl IMO. I'm not a Pats fan but god I hope they kick the shit out of Indy! I hate Peyton Manning with a passion. I hope he never wins a big game. History repeats itself and so far that's not good for him against the Pats in the playoffs. You can also look at it as though it's finally his turn to play/win in the Super bowl. He is a great QB but until he wins that "BIG" game he will always be known for never being able to win a big game.

i hate peyton as well... and not just cause i am a pats fan. i was afraid of san diego, how we pulled it off i will never know. push on, GO PATS!!!

Re: NFL Playoffs

peyton is arod with a bad attitude. at least shitrod doesnt throw his team under the bus, blame refs, call the better team cheaters, blame the feild, blame the weather, get rules changed to help his style of play

but they both look like morons when they fail in a big spot

It would be better without commentators.

Re: NFL Playoffs

no way, dick enberg calls the games for westwood 1 radio and i listen to them. he has "the knack" that ppl talk about in regards to the guys like summerall, buck Sr, the guys from red sox radio, bob murphy......

Re: NFL Playoffs

Yo I can say this, I will never get sick of watching Peyton get spanked by Brady, NE is gonna Spank the Colts.

#795401Post 148 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

that game's a tough decision. on one hand you have the patriots who have the colts number. on the other hand, you see a team that finally has exactly the situation they are looking for. the colts did not have the light on them most of the season and i know peyton is out to prove something now. personally, i think this is the defining moment for peyton's career. should be a good game. if peyton doesn't choke.
I don't like the new uniforms all the ref's are wearing.
looks like they went to target the night before the game with $10 and got what they could

i am a bit nervous cause of how many times we spanked the colts. they will come out on top one of these times, hopefully never hahaha. its like the sox and yanks, sooner or later we were going to get em and we did in '04.

chicago is the big winner for NFC... bring on the AFC game 8)

Re: NFL Playoffs

Nice FoOtball this Sunday afternoon. I headed over to a Bears bar in Santa Monica in L.A. and man was it crazy! besides the weather, you'd think you were in Chicago. My friend has waited since 1987 for this and Im happy for him.

cell phone pics dont make any justice but here are couple, first one is an all decked out bears cheerleader

Re: NFL Playoffs

i hope the colts plane crashes, or at least peyton manning getting into a serious car accident.

give him props, he finally did it, and was key in the win with the last drive. skilled player, maybe finally becoming a winner.

but good god, i hope he gets hurt in the next two weeks.

oh yeah, part 2.

to bill simmons's article on how the pats were becoming the yanks...

well, its official, the pats are now the yanks. dominant team with the ice player. borderline dynasty, and now........ a historical failure in the conference championship.

sully, welcome to the club.
