Re: NFL Playoffs
Remember when they met up in the playoffs a couple of years ago? I think there was not a single punt and only one turnover; both teams otherwise scored on every possession. Although that game was a blast to watch, I hope this game isn't a repeat, because I honestly don't think the Chiefs' O can match Indy's drive for drive this time around...
Some good match ups this week. Gonna be a half lazy weekend. I think my wife gave me two games to watch. I will buy her some flowers and I will get an extra one. Take her out to brunch and I will get all four. Money can buy happiness. but I agree T. I truly hope it is not a repeat ... but I think it may turn out that way.
Seattle over Dallas ... and this one is close, and pretty much give it to Seattle because of home field.
all down to how our reserve cornerbacks cope with TO and TG imo.

Re: NFL Playoffs

I was going to post a bunch of predictions and the I remember how many surprizes there were last year, so I won't even go there. All I will say is I'm completely psyched for this weekend, I love football and these next few weeks are as good as it gets.

Thanks for coming KC

Re: NFL Playoffs

wow. even with the amount of interceptions the Chiefs got nothing go. I would not say it was a good game, but Colts pulled off the win. Next up ... Seahawks and Cowboys, probably the most exciting game this weekend. GO HAWKS!

#782221Post 49 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

yeah, i think i'd prefer to see the saints play the cowboys after seeing what they did to them during the regular season. go cowgirls!

#782236Post 50 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

colts win. as per usual.

#782239Post 51 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

what a game for the hawks. just a wonderful playoff game ... wow. a win is a win.

#782240Post 52 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

What an ending to that Seahawks win over the Cowboys!

#782242Post 53 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

that was truly unexpected. a few big mistakes by both teams and both teams were so close ... very close. wow. wow. wow.

#782332Post 54 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

all i have to say is i'm rooting for the giants today. i do however think that despite dallas's downfall, i think tony romo has established himself as the next cowboys qb for some time. in all honesty, get rid of bill parcells. the guy is annoying, imo.

#782387Post 55 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

crazy win for the hawks yesterday.

go jets! 16-23 4th quarter. needed to score on that last drive.
go jets
:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

impressive showing NY.

#782501Post 57 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

yeah. neither team up to the required standard this weekend. jets were close in the 4th and let it get away... obviously the same with the giants... suprised that was so close to be honest... thought eli would choke a bit worse. seahawks through barely... bring on the bears

Re: NFL Playoffs

3 stories for me this weekend.

 1. herman edwards, yet again, cost a team with a top 3 running back the game. story of his career. the cheifs shit the bed right off the bat. how in the world do you have peyton in his ''loser mode'' with the shoulders slumping and whatnot and lose.....

 2. the pats, as usual and expected, do whatever it takes. jets had a great showing until the 4th, but arent at the same talent level. they had the gamblers excited for most of the game though, as the line was 9 and the jets were a great bet for awhile. then chad got exposed for his arm and the game was sealed for the best QB in the game in brady. god i admire the pats.

 3. the giants are now the yankees of the last 4 -5 years. over paid, egotistical players who cant play when the heat is on. tiki=arod, strahan=giambi, eli= randy johnson. etc etc etc. no chemistry and a bust at the QB role. enjoy manning, i hope phillip rivers actually tatoos "ELI SUX" on his throwing arm.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Boy, did the Chiefs not look ready to play on Saturday. Ugly with a capital "U."

Hawks and Philly games were great, though...

welcome to the world of herman edwards. charged words, lots of energy in interviews and flat teams. trust me, we had curtis martin, number 4 all time in running backs yardage, and we had shit showings the whole edwards era.

you can count on a shit load games being lost by less than 7. he just doesnt play to win, he plays to "not lose". he isnt aggressive, and runs the old school north east offense of run run run run run pas run run run.

sadly, i like larry johnson, he is great, and acts with class, but coach aint gonna do shit for him.

Re: NFL Playoffs

Ugh. This weekend games are going to be ugly. Seattle go paired up with da Bears .... I just hope they the Bears play terrible, and with all those injuries against the Hawks ... I am just hoping right now. Colts and the Ravens, Pats and the Chargers, Philly and New Orleans ... I just gotta say be prepared to see blood this weekend. haha.

really... if seattle can get their offence going properly... i could see us beating the bears. grossman is terrible and griese not much better. they beat us convincingly at the beginning of the season and its time for payback. that being said... i think the bears will win the game unfortunately as i just dont think hasselback is playing well enough this season to march us through the playoffs, and we arent as good away as we are at home. hopefully it will be a good game regardless of result and not a repeat of (i think it was) week 3.

colts vs. ravens could be the pick of the games, i think the ravens defence will win the battle against the colts offence, peyton will have another year to wonder why he cant get to the superbowl.

pats chargers should be another good one... LT will probably carry rivers & co into the AFC champ game, but im betting on the patriots... they always seem to be so good in the playoffs, but the fact that the games in sunny SD could make all the difference.

i also think philly could beat NO, but given that they barely made it past the giants, who i do not rate, i am going for, and rooting for n'awlins this weekend.

#782959Post 63 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

if it's clear weather, i like seattle's chances. they just better put some pressure on the bears qb and spread the bears defense and they have it won... easier said than done.

certainly will be interesting... grossman likes to just throw it up and deep when under pressure, but we have injury problems with our corners (babineux, who made the saving tackle on romo saturday, is usually a safety and was playing corner because our #1, 2, and 4 cornerbacks are all injured.) not sure if any of them are expected back.

we may also be missing darrell jackson and dj hackett, both of whom went out on sat injured (and had come through fitness tests late to start anyway.) hopefully engram and stevens stay hot

Re: NFL Playoffs

I can't belive Stevens was actually holding onto the ball for once, definitely a key ingredient in the victory.

#783259Post 66 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

yeah... he has streaks where he catches everything and then he'll come in and drop the ball a bunch. when he's on good form, he's one of our best options, and at 6'5" or whatever he is, he's a great te to have! from olympia too, went to u-dub

#783341Post 67 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

I think darrell jackson is gonna actually play this weekend against the Bears. The Bears are missing Harris and Brown who were key players. Harris sacked Hassellback twice in that game early in the season.

I Do hope it's a great game. I know the Bears were pretty good last season and lost against the Panthers in the first game of the Playoffs... so I dont think they want this seasons 13-3 to end this weekend. They'll come in playing hard.

And even if Grossman doesnt deliver, the Defense has the capabilty to become the offense.

#783351Post 68 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

all the bears have to do is keep the Ball out of grossmans hands - and everything will be fine!! :)

C'mon DaBears!

#783754Post 69 of 168

Re: NFL Playoffs

all about forcing turnovers from grossman and hoping the defence doesnt shut us down. i think we can win, but am not overly confident. hopefully if jackson does play, he has some impact... thrown to twice with no catches before going out against the cowboys.

Re: NFL Playoffs

just secured my tickets to the ravens vs the colts this saturday. this game is going to be insane with the colts returning to baltimore for a playoff game after sneaking out of here in the middle of the night 23 years ago. baltimore is so jacked up for this game it is going to be mental.

Re: NFL Playoffs

my hopes for locks,

patriots, and eagles.

 1. i just admire the pats, and love the brady/belicheck combo. again, if they were a NY team, i would be in heaven.

 2. i want the eagles in. they are a great story. the defense upping thier game to a better level, garcia finally getting a shot after stepping for the franchise guy, akers, reid, westbrook...................... and just to see TO cringe when they win.
