i mean COME ON.

im a jets fan, but hardly anti giant, more objective to them.

with these people plaxico burress eli manning tiki barber schockey jacobs pettigout and thats only the offensive

can these guys underacheive and quit more than they can? lazy, egotistical, spoiled athletes who have been told they are better than they actually are their whole careers. dallas is gonna run away with the division.

and no one an blame the coach b/c they sucked even more under fassel, now it really is on the shoulders of the players. they constantly falter when they shouldnt, constant mental mistakes at the basic levels.

tiki , ill say, YOU ARE THE MOST OVERRATED RUNNING BACK IN THE GAME. he thinks he is a top 5 guy, and frankly, he isnt even close. his past 2 years can be attributed to the arrival of schokey, burress, and the big play of toomer.

the guys who are suposed to catch the ball....arent.

and the jets are right there. with a shitty lineup of rookies.

stems from the coach... coughlin go bye bye soon.

Re: can the NY giants suck it up any more?

not at all. here in NY, we see it more and more every week. the coach is playing it right, not making many mistakes on play calling. it is the execution on the feild and dumb shit that is killing them. two weeks in a row, plaxico burress has quit on a play resulting in an interception and he didnt try to make a tackle. eli manning throws into coverage in a ti game with under 2 minutes to go.... you cant do that. they teach you that at pee wee level.

and tiki isnt doing anything, even with his carries back up.

I have to disagree with you 100% on that. Since 2002 his lowest amount of rushing yards in a season has been 1,212 and just last year he rushed for damn near 2,000 (1,860 to be exact). That's pretty damn good imo and I am by no means a giants or a Barber fan.

Re: can the NY giants suck it up any more?

like i said right after that.

plaxico, jeremy and amani. add in an offensive line that performed brilliantly for a rookie Qb..... well... there you go.

Re: can the NY giants suck it up any more?

from espn:

No one was more outcoached than Tom Coughlin of the Giants, who a week ago bristled when charged by Tiki Barber with being outcoached. At that time, Coughlin declared that members of the Giants' organization should not air their disputes in public. Then immediately after the loss to Tennessee, Coughlin blamed Eli Manning for throwing an interception.

Let's ponder the coaching aspect of the Giants' epic collapse. Jersey/A led 21-0 and had possession of the ball with 13 minutes remaining at Long Playing Field. Then Eli Manning threw an interception -- but why were the Giants throwing with a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter? Manning didn't decide on his own to throw, the coaches radioed that call directly into Eli's helmet. Leading by 21 points in the fourth quarter, do nothing but run up the middle for no gain for the rest of the game, and victory seems likely. Tennessee scores to make it 21-7; the Giants go three-and-out, throwing an incomplete pass to stop the clock. Tennessee scores to make it 21-14; the Giants punt with 3:13 remaining, after throwing an incomplete pass to stop the clock. Tennessee scores to make it 21-21; Jersey/A has the ball on its own 28 with 32 seconds remaining and throws another interception. From the point at which the Giants had a 21-0 lead and possession of the ball with 13 minutes remaining, Coughlin and his staff called seven passing plays -- which is seven too many. The result was both interceptions and incompletions that stopped the clock in a game Tennessee won with a field goal with six ticks left. Maybe when you're ahead 21-0 in the fourth quarter you shouldn't be tossing the ball into the air? The final interception was particularly bad coaching because at that point Tennessee had just rallied to tie, and momentum had shifted. All the emotion and crowd noise was on the Titans' side; the field position and clock situation dictated kneeling and going to overtime, with the ensuing intermission creating some space for Tennessee to cool off. Instead Jersey/A's coaches put the ball in the air, offering the Titans victory. Manning didn't make that call. The Giants were seriously outcoached -- and afterward, the coach blamed his players.

pretty stupid, imo.

Re: can the NY giants suck it up any more?

yeah, but he didnt throw it into coverage, he didnt let a QB go without a whistle, nor did he stop running and not try to tackle the guy just intercepted. they are all to blame, but lazy, ego maniacal athletes have to execute.

Re: can the NY giants suck it up any more?

hey man, you should know my sports opinions by now. not a fan of these yanks teams in respect to those who got us here. gimme back brocious and paully o neill. they played hard and knew when to dunk one over the second baseman. arod and sheffeld and giambi dont. at least im comfortable with bobby abreau. that guy is gonna have 200 RBIs at one point or another if he sticks around.

and if we want to talk stars vs teams,,,, look at the pats. then lok at the colts.

Re: can the NY giants suck it up any more?

Did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night? The Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big "H". It was a most ripping victory.
