holy shit, someone tell me that they saw george st. pierre DROP matt hughes in the second round.

to be honest i wanted george to win. love the guy. but i had no clue on how he was gonna do it. im saying to my friends as they are walking in, hughes is gonna kill him, i cant see anything else, he has been too dominant for too long. but alas, george came out WRECKING.

the first round was nothing short of spectacluar and almost went to matt hughes but st.pierre's sprawl got himn out of serious trouble twice. then boom. round two and st.peirre comes out striking like bruce lee. that shin kick to the head obviously caught matt by surprise as in the post fight interview, he said he didnt see it and thought it was a punch. then he hits the mat, and 9 straight punches to the face followed by a bit of his own medicine, 3 straight viscious elbows to the jaw. no defense at all so a wise move by john mccarthy to stop it, as hughes really could have gotten himself hurt seriously if it were alolowed to continue in that position.

I saw that fight and GSP totally dominated. The fight could have been called in the first round, but Hughes was saved by the bell. GSP hit Hughes with a superman punch that knocked him down and GSP starting dropping shots on him. When Hughes got up at the end of the first round, he looked up to see if the fight was over. And it was all GSP again in the second round with a great kick to the head that was the end.

GSP looked much quicker and stronger than Hughes. If they fight again, Hughes should try to take him down right away. GSP looks to big, strong, and athletic for Hughes. Hughes might need to retire because I don't see him beating GSP.

Provided Diego Sanchez wins his next fight, he should be fightig GSP. Matt Sera will get destroyed by GSP. Those TUF winners will get killed by the champs.

i went to school and trained with sera. while he would hand me my ass, he aint winning any titles in the UFC soon. overrated big mouth.

I thought he was a great trainer though - good motovational talks etc etc

but yes, he will get some severe damage by GSP.

great effort by GSP - why didnt hughes try and take him down more! his strking is pretty weak.

GSP had his a$$ after the Penn/Hughes fight.......George was in his head! Honestly I think GSP should've beaten him the first time they fought! HOLLER!!!
