Sweden lost to the Czechs today but Forsberg wasn't on the team (he is in Canada getting custom skate's made...eh)

however this is gonna be very interesting with many strong teams...

sweden is a good team , they surprised in the last olympics with their "torpedo" offense (is that the name) but i think teams adjusted to that style already....so it's old time hockey: hard work!

Final game is on tuesday.

Here in Calgary on the front page of our newspaper the game is dubbed as "It's Iggy versus Kipper." This final set-up all but nearly did not happen if not for the heroics of lecavalier & luongo to save our butts. Did you see the saves luongo was making when he had lost his goalie stick in the crucial minutes of the 3rd period, now thats some goaltending.

just came back to nyc from toronto this morning and had a ridiculous time! i had tickets to the semi (canada-czech) which was one of the best sporting events i had ever been to and to the final (canada-finland). obviously my friends and i were hoping for a us-canada final but the atmosphere was still absolutely nuts. after the game, canadians filled the streets and were cheering and slapping each other five for at least a couple of hours. what an experience.

As i said earlier with Lemieux saying he is coming back and with this crosby kid in the minors it doesn't look good for the competition in the future.. Well with one prediction that has come true all that has to happen now is St. Louis lose in the first round of the baseball playoffs...
