This is in response to the TWO threads you created predicting doom for the Mets...

that's not a happy face

Look on the bright side, I guess Rivera's tender elbow wasn't a problem afterall.

The only thing better than a Yankee loss is watching them implode in the aftermath... Torre might be out by the end of the day? Boy, you guys really know how to eat your young.... :D

Indeed they do. And in no way am I claiming that this is mission accomplished. This is simply a special message to Sean, who had this coming to him. Otherwise, please continue to under estimate the Mets, I like it that way. :p

Re: Attn Sean

Congrats to the Mets, they are pretty well stacked in every aspect. The Dodgers had too many missed opportunities and not enough disicpline at the plate. Too many factors agaisnt us (which might not have made a difference ~ Beimel / Garciaparra) but nonetheless, sweep the next team, I cant stand the Pads!, Cards too!

Good luck to your team Kobe.

Re: Attn Sean

Thanks Bure. IMHO, and I didn't see much of LAD this year, it looks like you have a bit of an ARod on your hands with JD Drew. Big rep player who did nothing with it mattered. Jeff Kent on the other hand is so money, Mets should have never traded him way back when.

Re: Attn Sean

i don't think torre will be fired. hope is more like it. but im not gonna sit and read all these fucking magazines that claim "boss set to fire torre" because what grounds are these claims based on? yes i know the yanks lost 3 in a row to be knowcked out of a series, i watched it unfold. point is they've been in the playoffs what, 11 years in a row? they won what, 4 rings under torre? or 5? he is a winning coach and should have a job with the yank's next year and many more imo.

#723858Post 10 of 22

Re: Attn Sean

Well the basis is that Steinbrenner has sort of a history of firing managers, particularly in a hasty fashion.

Re: Attn Sean

well nip boy, i wasnt in NY sat/sun, just got to work. so i didnt have my comp.

inform me where i said the mets were gonna lose that series and the yanks would win. im dying to know especially since I said the mets HAVE to win the LA series and you even agreed with me. i said they are fucked for a 7 gamer if duque cant go. also, and you can do the search here, i even said the tigers would beat the yanks, i said it would suck, but i saw it. do a search b4 ya tell me i said something i didnt.;)

but yes, of course im disappointed about it, but with no pitching and no tino's and brocious's (ie guys who know when its time to simply put hte bat on the ball and dunk one) what did we honestly think was gonna happen. good pitching ALWAYS beats good hitting, we proved that. and the tigers have plenty, but i unlike kobe, i am an actual baseball fan, not a bandwagon jumper who disappears and doesnt watch the game when my team isnt in it. i still watch every game, and will.

but even better, the funny thing is about small dick mets fans like kobe, is that your team is still in it, yet, no one is even talking about them. they are still second fiddle in this town. they could the the world series and you know what, the only peple who will care are the mets fans and yet MY TEAM will still garner the headlines. so, yes, the cardinalswill now face the latin american regional team +a fag called wright. but i , too have a rooting interest on the team, his name is willy and he was our boy for a long time. so yeah, i wouldnt mind seeing him win.

Re: Attn Sean

LMAO!! Of course the Yanks have the NY baseball focus on them, who could possibly look away from that trainwreck. :Bingo: Fuck it, the entire world is watching you guys implode!

Re: Attn Sean

Great stat on SportsCenter Monday-- the Yanks have spend $1B (that's billion) since 2001 failing the win the WS. And have spent $400M in the last two years to win a total of 3 post season games.

In the end they were the worst kind of team- overpaid, highly talented players who have absolutely NO HEART. I''ll take the "fag" David Wright over bums like these every single time.

Re: Attn Sean

larry kenny on IMUS had a great joke today when he was in character as omar minaya. he told steinbrenner that he could have saved 250 million and just burned 2 million in cash on the third base bag.
